Haniya government rejects Dennis Ross plan and any temporary solutions

 [ 24/12/2009 - 11:53 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

The Palestinian government headed by premier Ismail Haniya on Tuesday reiterated its rejection of the plan of Dennis Ross and the temporary solutions to the Palestinian cause, stressing that the Palestinian rights must be fully restored.

During its weekly cabinet meeting, the government renewed its call on the Palestinian Authority (PA) to stop all forms of covert and overt negotiations and security coordination with the Israeli occupation.

As for Egypt’s steel wall, the government warned of the environmental and humanitarian damage that might be caused by building this wall on Gaza borders, especially to the draining of groundwater aquifer.

It also appealed to Egypt to facilitate the arrival of Lifeline convoy in the Gaza Strip and enable all international parties to alleviate the suffering of Gaza people.

The government, in another context, warned of the Israeli escalations against the occupied city of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque, considering the Israeli decision to demolish a mosque in the holy city as part of the Judaization schemes carried out in the city.

During the meeting, the government commissioned the ministers of interior and justice, and the secretary-general of the Palestinian cabinet to improve and expand the ombudsman office of the government to address any problems that may face Gaza citizens.
