An Israeli air strike kills a fighter in northern Gaza as tanks roll into Jabalya

An Israeli air strike killed early on Tuesday a Qassam fighter and wounded another, when the car they were driving was hit with a missile.

Medical sources in northern Gaza Strip confirmed that Hesham Shoamar, 23 was killed and Omar Hammad 25, was wounded after sustaining critical injuries. Hammad has his limbs amputated, medics added.

Palestinian security sources said that an Israeli drone fired at least one missile towards a car near the Abraj Al-Nada residential houses in the northern parts of Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said in a statement that Shoamar belonged to its ranks.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation tanks rolled earlier in the morning near the eastern cemetery of the Jabalya refugee camp, amidst heavy gunfire towards the nearby residents as bulldozers began razing farm lands in the area.

Small-scale Israeli occupation army incursions into Gaza Strip areas as well as pinpoint air strikes have increased recently, after the ruling Hamas party had offered a ceasefire with Israel, to instate calm in the region.

Ahead of the visit of Egyptian intelligence chief, Omar Suleiman, who has mediated the ceasefire initiative , Israel reiterated rejection to the proposal and demanded some conditions.

Israeli occupation troops shell Beit Lahia, two residents injured

Palestinian medical sources reported that on Monday after midnight, two residents were wounded when the Israeli occupation army fired at least one missile at a group of residents who gathered near the Ministry of Education, east of Shaikh Zayid residential compound, north of Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The sources stated that the two wounded residents were moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital and described their injuries as serious, the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported.

Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers fired one surface-to-surface missile at the residents.
Moreover, WAFA said that soldiers invaded an area east of Jabalia town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The agency added that dozens of Israeli occupation military vehicles and three military bulldozers invaded that area and fired rounds of live ammunition at several homes; damage was reported, no injuries until the time of this report.

Soldiers bulldozed farmlands and constructions while military helicopters hovered over the area and fired flares.


Al-Qassam Brigades activist killed, one injured in Israeli airstrike on Gaza

An Al-Qassam Brigades activist was killed and another critically injured on Tuesday when an Israeli warplane launched a missile at a civilian car in the northern Gaza Strip.

Mu'awiya Hasanain, the director of ambulance and emergency services in the Palestinian health ministry said that 23-year-old Hisham Shoamar was killed and 25-year-old 'Umar Hammad was critically injured. He explained that Hammad has lost some of his limbs.

The incident came in tandem with an Israeli incursion into Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip at dawn. The invading forces opened heavy fire on Palestinian houses while bulldozers dug up fields in the area.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap one Palestinian near Tulkarem

An Israeli occupation force raided the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem on Tuesday morning and stopped Palestinian cars for inspection, according to a Ma'an reporter. No abductions have been reported.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces stormed the northern West Bank town of Qafin in the Tulkarem district and kidnapped one man after ransacking and inspecting several houses in the neighborhood. Resident Ahmad Al-Zibin was attacked and beaten by soldiers as his home was inspected, say eyewitnesses.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap Palestinian teenager from his home near Nablus

Israeli forces kidnapped a Palestinian youth from the West Bank village of Azmut, east of the city of Nablus, after breaking into his house before dawn on Tuesday.

Palestinian security sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces carried out an incursion in Azmut eastern of the city of Nablus at 3:00 am local time Tuesday and arrested 19-year-old Saleh Ibrahim Samara.

Israeli occupation forces raid Nablus

Israeli occupation forces raided the northern West Bank city of Nablus amid heavy gunfire on Monday evening.

Eyewitnesses told Ma'an's reporter that ten Israeli occupation military jeeps stormed the city from the south in a sudden raid.

Meanwhile, Palestinian security sources mentioned that the incursion was preceded by the infiltration of an undercover Israeli occupation force in the old city of Nablus. They said they believed the undercover force (death squad) was attempting to assassinate or apprehend 'wanted' Palestinian activists.
