2 Palestinians Killed, 9 Injured in Israeli Attacks on Gaza Strip

Israeli warplanes kill two Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli occupation forces tanks and warplanes killed two Palestinians and injured five during an incursion in the Rafah area of the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, various Palestinian sources said. One Israeli soldier was also injured.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that two of their members were killed in an Israeli air strike east of the city of Rafah. Hamas fighters said they were engaging invading forces in the Al-'Omour area near the Sufa crossing point at the time of the bombing. Ambulances were unable to reach the dead.

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, said that five of their fighters were wounded in the incursion.

Medical sources at Abu Yousuf Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah said that they received one corpse and three injured people. The dead man has not yet been identified as one of the Al-Qassam Brigades fighters.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Abdallah Shehada said that the corpse is still unidentified; he arrived to the hospital with his left arm cut off along with injuries in his body and head adding that another three medium injuries arrived with him.

Al-Quds brigades said that five of their members were injured during the Israeli air strike that targeted them east of Al-'Omour.

Medical sources said that three people with injuries ranging from moderate to critical injuries arrived at the European Hospital.

Israeli tanks invaded the Gaza Strip near the Sufa crossing at dawn on Wednesday. Israeli troops are conducting house to house searches. Residents say the area endures Israeli incursions almost daily.

Meanwhile Palestinian sources confirmed that a Israeli tanks invaded the Al-Zaitoun neighborhood Gaza City from the east. The tanks fired at least one shell, which landed in an open area, resulting in no injuries.

The Al-Qassam claimed responsibility for launching 19 mortar shells at the Israeli tanks.

Israeli media announced that one Israeli soldier was slightly injured in an Israeli operation "against the infrastructure" of the Palestinian resistance near the Sufa crossing.

Israeli sources said that the Israeli troops are facing resistance from the Palestinian factions, saying that ten mortar rounds were fired at them.

Two Palestinian fighters, nine others wounded in separate Israeli attacks on Gaza

Two Palestinian fighters have been reportedly killed and nine others wounded on Wednesday, in two Israeli occupation forces air strikes and a ground invasion into separate Gaza areas.

Palestinian medical sources said that Osama Al-Ghewaiti,33 and Abdul Razeq Mo'amar, 21, were killed and four others injured, all were admitted to the Abu Yousuf Al-Najjar hospital in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.

Witnesses said that an Israeli air strike hit the Rafah city today morning , leaving one man killed.

Witnesses added that one more Israeli air strike targeted a second Palestinian man in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis.

In separate statements, faxed to press, the Qassam Brigades of the ruling Hamas party and the Islamic Jihad group, have both announced the death of their fighters during the Israeli air raids on Wednesday morning.

The Islamic Jihad's statement, read that the Israeli air strike on Khan Younis city killed the group's fighter and wounded five others, and that all causalities were all evacuated to the Gaza-European hospital near Khan Younis.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli ground force attacked the Zaitoun neighborhood, to the east of Gaza city, as armed clashes erupted between local resistance fighters and the invading army force.

Israeli media sources claimed an Israeli soldier was slightly wounded during the said clashes.

Two Qassam members killed in IOF raid

RAFAH, (PIC)--

Two members of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, were killed on Wednesday in an Israeli occupation forces air raid that targeted their position in the vicinity of Sufa crossing east of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.

Qassam sources told PIC reporter that the two martyrs were killed when an IOF drone fired a missile at their position and that a third was wounded in the blast.

The sources said that the medical teams could not evacuate the martyrs due to the intensive IOF firing at the area.

Earlier medical sources said that five Palestinians were wounded in an IOF aerial raid on a home in Fakhari east of Rafah.

The sources said that one of the wounded was in a "serious condition".

The Qassam command said in a communiqué that its fighters fired 40 mortar shells at the IOF invading forces east of Zaitoun suburb in Gaza city and east of Rafah.
