OIC wants ICC to bring Israeli leaders to justice The head of the world's largest organization after the United Nations, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference called on the International Criminal Court to bring Israeli leaders to justice for "heinous" attacks against civilians living in Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 57-nation body told an OIC summit in Senegal that Israeli leaders have committed war crimes against Palestinians. "The situation in Palestine remains deplorable due to the successive crises fabricated by Israel to stall the peace process and to thwart the many peace plans and initiatives proposed by the international community," he said. "It has become indispensable that these aggressions and heinous crimes be officially documented and their perpetrators be brought before international justice designed for these kind of acts, such as the International Criminal Court." Israeli indiscriminate bombardment of residential areas in Gaza Strip since February 27 killed more than 125 civilians. Some 26 of the victims were infants and children and the others were women and youth.
