One Palestinian civilian was killed and 29
others were injured in a series of Israeli occupation forces airstrikes
and ground attacks during Thursday night in the Beit Lahia area in the
northern the Gaza Strip and east of Gaza City.
Palestinian medical sources said that 27-year-old Khalil Sokkar was shot
dead by special Israeli forces who invaded the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood
in eastern of Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses said that Sokkar was on his way to rescue two injured
civilians when the Israeli army shot him dead and opened fire on other
civilians in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces warplanes targeted a security post
related to the foreign ministry of the Hamas-run de facto government in
Al-‘Atatrah, north of Beit Lahia, destroying the post and damaging
neighboring houses.
Medical sources announced that at least nine injured civilians were
transferred to hospitals for treatment, while another twenty were
treated in the field.
The Israeli airstrike caused widespread power cuts in the
northern Gaza Strip.
Also on Friday, Israeli occupation forces raided the Al-Nahda
neighborhood in eastern Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources told Ma’an that five tanks and three bulldozers
entered the neighborhood under cover of intensive gunfire. The troops
searched houses and arrested civilians. No injuries have been reported.
Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the town of Khuza’a east of Khan
Younis on Friday morning, leaving a number of people injured.
Mu’awiyya Hassanain, head of ambulance and emergency services in the
Palestinian health ministry, confirmed that four civilians were injured
when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on them. They were to taken
to the Nasser hospital and European hospital in Khan Younis.

Palestinian sources said that a Palestinian
man was killed and at least 29 others were injured during several
Israeli air raids targeting part of the Gaza Strip on Thursday night.
Medical sources said that among those injured was a three- month old
baby. Khalil Sokkar, 27, was killed when Israeli troops Al-Shuja’iya
neighborhood in Gaza City in the northern part of the Gaza Strip on
Thursday late at nigh.
Eyewitnesses said that Sokkar was on his way to rescue two injured
civilians when the Israeli army shot him dead and opened fire on other
civilians in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes targeted a Palestinian security post that
belongs to the Palestinian Hamas run government in Gaza north of Beit
Lahyia, in the northern Part of the Gaza Strip. Nine civilians were
injured in the attack. The post was damaged along with nearby houses.
Meanwhile an Israeli soldier was lightly injured during an Israeli army
attack targeting the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of the Hamas Movement said that army
tanks and bulldozers invaded areas near Khan Younis town, the group
added that its fighters clashed with the invading troops and injured one
soldier.
Israeli army sources confirmed the injury of the soldiers and said that
he was moved to an army hospital for treatment.

The Israeli occupation army has announced that
an Israeli occupation soldier has been injured near the northern borders
of the Gaza Strip, early on Friday morning.
Al-Qassam Brigades issued a statement, claiming responsibility for
shooting the soldier and launching a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) at a
special Israeli occupation force east of the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood
early on Friday morning.
Moreover, the Al-Qassam claimed they clashed with the Israeli unit and
launched 40 mortar shells during the clashes.
