Suicide car bomb hurts 23 in E Afghanistan www.chinaview.cn 2008-06-04 20:25:29 KABUL, June 4 (Xinhua) -- A suicide car blast wounded 23 persons including three policemen in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province Wednesday, a press release of interior ministry said. "A (Taliban fighter) driving a car blew itself up next to the district administration building of Jaji district at 11:30 a.m. local time, wounding 23 persons including three policemen and 19 civilians," the press release said. Some of the injured men are in critical condition, it added. In the press release the interior ministry blamed the attack on Taliban or other anti-government fighters. Spiraling insurgency and conflicts have left more than 1,500 people dead so far this year in Afghanistan.
