Israeli forces kill Palestinian teenager in the northern West Bank

Date: 29 / 06 / 2008  Time:  09:33
Nablus – Ma'an –

Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian teenager in the northern West Bank town of Tubas on Sunday morning.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired eight shots at 17-year-old Muhammad Daraghmah. Another unidentified young man was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces.

Palestinian medical sources said that Daraghmah died immediately.

According to witnesses, Israeli occupation troops attacked Palestinians who were throwing stones at the invading forces. Witnesses said the killing appeared to be deliberate, as the Israeli occupation troops shot Daraghmah at close range, while they could have arrested him or shot him in the lower part of his body.

The victim was arrested two years ago and served more than a year in Israeli occupation jails. He was affiliated with the Fatah movement.

Israeli occupation forces have now killed four Palestinians in the West Bank within a week. On Friday night, Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in the southern West Bank town of Beit Ummar, north of the city of Hebron. Last Tuesday, Israeli occupation troops gunned down a Palestinian fighter and an unarmed student in the city of Nablus.
