3 Palestinian Civilians, One Fighter Killed in Israeli Terrorist Invasion of Al-Qarara, air strikes on Jabalia, 33 Kidnapped in the West Bank

Note:

The Zionist media in the NATO countries never describes Israeli occupation forces as terrorist forces when they kill, injure, and kidnap Palestinian civilians, like what they did today. However, they never miss describing Palestinian resistance fighters who are defending their communities with terrorism. This is not just hypocrisy, it's a real support for the Israeli occupation forces atrocities and war crimes.

Gaza: Four Palestinians killed in Israeli invasion of Al-Qarara, air strikes on Jabalia

Date: 11 / 06 / 2008  Time:  14:24
Gaza – Ma'an –

Four Palestinians have been killed since Wednesday morning by Israeli occupation forces bombing and artillery in the Gaza Strip, and at least six others have been wounded.

26-year-old Yasser Abu Haleeb was killed and three other civilians were injured by Israeli artillery shelling targeting a group of civilians east of the town of Al-Qarara near Khan Younis on Wednesday afternoon.

Head of Ambulance and Emergency Services, Dr Mu'awiya Hassanain, told Ma'an that Abu Haleeb's body and those injured were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, describing their cases as serious. Among those received at the hospital was 3-year-old Wa'ed Fayyad, who suffered serious shrapnel injuries from Israeli tank shelling.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Al-Qassam brigades fighter and a young girl were also killed by Israeli occupation forces bombing in Al-Qarara. The bombing injured three members of the girl's family and was accompanied by an Israeli incursion into the town.

Palestinian medical sources said that the torn body of 9-year-old Hadeel Abdul Kareem Al-Sumairi was taken to the Khan Younis hospital, along with her three injured family members.

Palestinian sources said that Israeli tanks invaded from near the Kisufim military crossing and shelled the Al-Sumairi family home, causing huge material damage to the structure.

Ibrahim Mahmoud Sa'ad, a fighter with the Hamas-affiliated Al-Qassam brigades, was killed by an Israeli air strike targeting a group of fighters resisting the Israeli incursion east of Al-Qarara.

Dr Mu'awiya Hassanain reported that medical personnel were unable to transfer Sa'ad's body for an hour after he was killed due to Israeli fire targeting the ambulances. According to Hassanain, this is the fifteenth Israeli violation against medical personnel during the last month.

In a separate Israeli atrocity on Wednesday afternoon, one Palestinian civilian was killed and others were injured when Israeli aircraft fired a missile at an open area near an Israeli military base east of Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Dr Hassanain reported that 60-year-old Hassan ‘Esseilah was pronounced dead on arrival at the Al-'Awda hospital. The hospital also received a number of moderately injured civilians.

Gaza: Israeli occupation forces kill 9-year old girl, a resistance fighter and wounds two other civilian

Wednesday June 11, 2008 08:58 by Saed Bannoura & Ghassan Bannoura - IMEMC News

Early Wednesday morning, Israeli occupation forces stationed east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, fired tank shells at Palestinian homes, killing one child, a resistance fighter and wounding two other civilians.

Witnesses said that tanks invaded the area and opened fire at residents' homes, Hadeil Al-Sumairi, 9 years old, was killed in the shelling, and two of her family members were wounded. Witnesses added the child was located in her home in the village of Qarara, just east of Khan Younis, when Israeli tank shells ripped through the wall of her home, killing her instantly.

As soon as the tanks attacked resistance fighters clashed with the invading forces, one fighter was killed, the Hamas movement armed wing the Al Qassam brigades named him as Ibraheem Sa'id.

An Israeli military spokesman claimed that the military had fired toward the neighborhood because they thought they saw Palestinian resistance fighters firing homemade shells across the border toward Israel.

No shells were found in the area, however, which brings into question the Israeli military's claim. According to the Israeli military, over 30 shells were fired from that area toward Israel on Tuesday.

Dr. Mu'awiyah Hassanain, of the Palestinian ministry of health in Gaza, said that the Israeli troops opened fire at Palestinian ambulance cars while they were trying to evacuate the killed and injured. He added that this is the 15th attack by the Israeli army on Palestinian medical staff this month.

Khan Younis is one of the most crowded places on earth, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees are crowded into a small area and penned inside by the Israeli military. Hundreds of homes have been razed by Israeli forces in recent years for being too close to the Gaza-Egypt border.

The morning attack came just hours before a meeting was scheduled between Israeli and Palestinian officials to discuss a ceasefire.

The pattern of Israeli attacks on civilian populations in the hours preceding a ceasefire agreement or meeting has been consistent over the last eight years – virtually every time such a meeting is scheduled, an Israeli military attack on civilians occurs hours before it is to take place.
