NABLUS, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) soldiers on Thursday kidnapped the Palestinian human rights activist Ahlam Jawher, 30, at the Hawara roadblock at the entrance to Nablus while she was traveling outside the city.

Jawher, hailing from the Hawara village, is one of the activists in the field of human and prisoners' rights and was not arrested before.

Ahrar center for prisoners' studies denounced the recent spate of IOF kidnappings that round up scores of Palestinian citizens on daily basis in various West Bank areas.

In Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus city, the IOF troops kidnapped a Palestinian youth at dawn Thursday after ransacking his family home.
The soldiers searched other houses in the camp looking for "wanted activists" but failed to arrest any of them.

In Ramallah, the IOF troops also kidnapped a student, who was recently released from PA jails while the PA security in the West Bank rounded up two other young men in Nablus and Ramallah.

Israeli occupation forces claim to have killed Palestinian gunman in Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupaiton forces claimed on Wednesday evening that they had killed a Palestinian gunman in fighting in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli army, a clash erupted between an Israeli force and Palestinian gunmen who were attempting to launch homemade projectiles towards Israeli towns. As a result one of the Palestinian gunmen was killed.

However, Mu'awiya Hassanain, the director of ambulance and emergency services in the Palestinian health ministry said that the Israeli military had not informed them of the incident.

Bethlehem – Nablus – Ma'an –

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped seven Palestinians on Wednesday night from several West Bank cities. Their identities have not been revealed, Israeli sources said.

Separately, Israeli security sources said that two molotov cocktails were thrown at an Israeli occupation force, attempting to apprehend Palestinians in the central West Bank village of Ni'lin west of Ramallah. No casualties have been reported.

Palestinian security sources told Ma'an's reporter that the Israeli forces kidnapped a Palestinian boy in Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

In a different regard, the Israeli occupation army claimed that they seized chemicals that could be used in manufacturing explosives during a joint Palestinian – Israeli operation east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
