Palestinian resistance strikes force Israeli occupation army to dismantle new military post in Gaza Resistance strikes force Israeli army to dismantle new military post in Gaza Saturday January 19, 2008 00:05 by IMEMC Staff saed at imemc dot org
Abu Dhareefa added that the Israeli occupation
military post, and several military posts in the Gaza Strip, were
repeatedly shelled by several resistance groups. He also stated that the International Community, and the United States, are to be held responsible for the Israeli assaults in Gaza since they remained idle and did not attempt to stop the Israeli violations. Meanwhile, the Al-Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for firing several homemade shells at the Israeli Negev Town of Sderot on Friday evening. The group issued a press release stating that the shelling is a natural outcome of the ongoing Israeli assaults, escalation and assassinations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. On Wednesday morning Waleed Anees Obaidi (Abu Al-Qassam), 41, leader of the Al Quds brigades in the West Bank, was shot and killed during armed clashes with Israeli forces invading Qabatia town, south west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin. According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR)'s Weekly Report, during the week of 10- 16 January 2008, 22 Palestinians were killed and 51 were injured by the Israeli military in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Eight of the victims were civilians, including 2
brothers, a child and an elderly man. 17 of the victims were killed
during an Israeli incursion into the east of Gaza City. 7 of the
victims were extra-judicially executed by Israeli forces. Fair Use Notice This site contains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
