Nablus – Ma'an –
An Israeli occupation forces death squad abducted four
Palestinian men in Nablus in the northern West Bank on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses told Ma'an's reporter that he saw a number of undercover
Israeli occupation soldiers (a death squad) getting out of a minibus at
Tel Street in western Nablus. They approached a Palestinian taxi and
opened fire on its four occupants. The injured occupants were then
abducted by the soldiers.
Ma'an learned that the abductees were 25-year-old Ibrahim Al-Masimi,
27-year-old Wa'il Al-Masimi, 20-year-old Yasir Al-Masimi and 21-year-old
Ali 'Isha , 20-year-old Ibrahim Al-Jibrini.
The eyewitnesses affirmed that they saw the abductees bleeding after
they were hit. Israeli occupation forces later reported that the Israeli
occupation forces told the Palestinian authority that Ibrahim
Al-Masimi had died of his injuries. Another of the injured men
is reported to be in a serious condition.
Back up Israeli occupation forces later entered Nablus to assist the
death squad.
In the same regard, Israeli military sources announced that four
Palestinians were injured after the death squad (undercover force)
invaded Nablus and targeted them. The Israeli sources affirmed that two
were seriously injured.
According to the Israeli sources, the undercover force attempted to
arrest five Palestinian activists in Nablus, who they claim were
planning to undertake a military operation inside Israel. As the
activists tried to escape, the soldiers fired at them.
Later the the Al-Aqsa Brigades in Nablus, Fatah's military wing,
announced that they are no longer committed to a ceasefire with Israel
after the Israeli undercover forces shot and abducted five of their
activists.
Meanwhile, Palestinian military intelligence chief in the West Bank,
Majid Faraj, said he held the Israelis responsible for the deterioration
in the security situation in Nablus. He affirmed that the injured
activists had adhered to the conditions of the amnesty deal and the
ceasefire proposed by Israel.
The leader of Al-Aqsa Brigades in Balata refugee camp, Hani Al-Ka'bi
told Ma'an that there will be a swift and tough response to the Israeli
action, affirming that the ceasefire is over.
He also reiterated that the activists adhered to the amnesty deal and
remained in the military intelligence headquarters for longer than the
required three months under the amnesty deal.
Since Wednesday morning, Israeli forces have deployed around the
military intelligence headquarters and the targeted activists as they
left, Al-Ka'abi explained.
He also denied that the targeted group had planned to operate inside
Israel, emphasizing that they have never left the security headquarters
except after they noted the deployment of Israeli forces. He also denied
that any of them were armed.
