Israeli Vacuum Bomb Used in Al-Buraij Massacre, Murdering Ayman Fayed, his Wife, and Children

Palestinian security: IOF used vacuum bomb in Buraij massacre

[ 17/02/2008 - 11:14 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) warplanes dropped a huge vacuum bomb on the home of Ayman Fayed of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Al-Buraij refugee camp, on Friday night which was used for the first time with such devastating effect, Palestinian security sources in Gaza revealed.

The sources on Saturday said that the big explosion, which was heard more than 20 kilometers away, and the horizontal destruction of nearby houses along with the internal wounds without any outside signs on the bodies of the casualties pointed to the new type of bomb used in this massacre.

The body of the one of the martyrs was found 150 meters away from the site of the bombing without carrying any superficial wounds but most of his internal parts were damaged as a result of the vacuum explosion.

Eight citizens including the entire family of Fayed (the man, his wife and two children) were killed in the IOF bombing while 60 were wounded and seven houses destroyed and many others damaged.   Ayman Taha, a Hamas spokesman, asserted, while commenting on the massacre, that the struggle with the "Zionist entity" was now open for all options. He drew the attention to the fact that the world rose on its feet when an Israeli was killed in Dimona but what about the massacre in Al-Buraij refugee camp, in Gaza Strip? "What will the world say about it?"

Nazzal: Calm meaningless in light of ongoing Israeli crimes

[ 16/02/2008 - 05:03 PM ]

BEIRUT, (PIC)--

Mohamed Nazzal, a member of the Hamas political bureau, stated on Saturday that "calm" is meaningless in the light of the ongoing Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people the latest of which was the Buraij carnage.

In an exclusive statement to the PIC, Nazzal highlighted that the Biraij massacre is a link in the chain of the bloody carnages committed by the IOF troops against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. He strongly rejected Israel's allegations that its escalating aggression comes in response to the firing of Palestinian resistance's homemade rockets.

The Hamas leader explained that Israel does not escalate its crimes because of Palestinian rockets because it knows well that its escalation will never stop them and knows that the cessation of its aggression against the Palestinian people is the only way to stop these rockets and not vice versa.

The Hamas leader charged that Israel's war minister Ehud Barak seeks through his crimes against the Palestinian people and his threats of committing more brutal massacres to secure political and popular satisfaction for Olmert's government.

In an unrelated context regarding Olmert's decision to extend the mandate of the Mossad's chief, Meir Dagan, until 2009 for the second time, the Hamas leader did not rule out that this decision was a reward for Dagan over the assassination of Emad Mughniyah and a green light to him to carry more operations against Palestinian and Lebanese resistance leaders.
