13 Iraqis Killed, Attacks on US Forces in Baladiyat, Dhulou'iyah, According to February 13, 2008 News Reports

 

Iraq news agency (INA) reported that five workers were killed, two were injured when gunment fired at them in Al-Sa'adiya village, east of Ba'aqouba.

Yaqen news agency reported that there were attacks on US forces in Baladiyat and Al-Dhulou'iyah.

 

Unknown gunmen storm school, execute a 3-year old child in Baghdad   Baghdad - Voices of Iraq

    Baghdad, Feb 13, (VOI) -

Unknown gunmen on Wednesday stormed a school and executed a 3-year-old child in south Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said. “Unknown gunmen broke into a school in Zafaraniya district, south Baghdad, beat the school’s guard and executed a three year old child,” an Interior Ministry source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). The source pointed out ”Iraqi security forces carried out investigation to identify the gunmen and define their group affiliation.” AM/SR  

Police discover three unknown bodies in Baghdad

    Baghdad, Feb 13, (VOI) -

Iraqi police patrols on Wednesday found three unidentified bodies dumped in different parts of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said. "Police patrols discovered three unknown corpses dumped in various parts of Baghdad," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq -Voices of Iraq - (VOI). The source added "Two bodies were found in Baghdad's eastern neighborhoods of al-Waziriya, while the third body was found in al-Fadhil quarter, central Baghdad." "The bodies found bore signs of gunshot wounds to different parts of the body, mainly to the head," he noted. AM/SR  

Two former Iraqi army officers gunned down in Diala   Diala - Voices of Iraq

    Diala, Feb 13, (VOI) –

Two officers from the former Iraqi army were shot down in Diala's Baaquba city, a local official security source said on Wednesday. "Two civilians were mistakenly killed today by U.S. forces in Baaquba city," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq, Voices of Iraq, (VOI). "The dead were a colonel and a captain in the former Iraqi army," the source explained. No comment was available from the U.S. side on the incident. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.   SS/SR

Two gunmen killed, wounded in Kirkuk

    Kirkuk, Feb 13, (VOI)-

A joint U.S.-Iraqi force on Wednesday killed a gunman and wounded another one during a security operation in southwestern Kirkuk, said a police source. "A police force, backed by U.S. troops, waged a crackdown operation in a village in Riyadh district in southwestern Kirkuk, killing one gunman and injuring another one," the source told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq (VOI) on condition of anonymity. "The force also confiscated amounts of weapons and ammunitions," he added. Kirkuk is 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SH
