1.5 Million People in Gaze Strip Collectively Punished by Israeli Fascist Government Because of One Homemade Projectile Landing in the Desert

Editor's Note:

Once again, the Israeli occupation fascist government collectively punishes 1.5 million people in the Gaza Strip for two days, just because one home made projectile was fired from there, which landed away from any population centers, injuring nobody anyway.

What's amazing is the deadly silence of world governments, organizations, and leaders towards these Israeli sadistic behaviors.

Barak orders lockdown of Gaza's borders in response to single homemade projectile

Date: 20 / 08 / 2008  Time:  09:56
Bethlehem – Ma'an –

The Israeli occupation defense minister, Ehud Barak, ordered commercial and humanitarian crossings between Israel and the Gaza Strip closed as of Wednesday morning after a homemade Palestinian projectile landed in Israeli territory on Tuesday night.

The borders are to remain closed for two days. On Thursday Barak plans to "reevaluate" the closure.

The homemade rocket landed in a field not far from the town of Sderot. No injuries or physical damage resulted.

Israel and Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza began a truce on 19 June. According to the terms of the ceasefire, all sides were to hold their fire, and Israel would ease its blockade of the Gaza Strip.

While Israel did allow an increase in shipments of goods, including humanitarian aid, into the Strip, the crossings operation has been intermittent, and Gaza is still short of vital supplies such as fuel.
