AL-KHALIL, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped four Palestinians overnight Monday and at dawn Tuesday in Al-Khalil and Nablus districts including two prominent figures, locals reported.

In Dura town, Al-Khalil district, the IOF soldiers kidnapped Shaikh Ahmed Al-Qiq, 60, after encircling his family home.

His sons said that their father suffered a number of health problems, and noted that his son Mohammed was currently held in occupation jails.

The PA preventive security apparatus had detained and interrogated Shaikh Ahmed for three days almost a month ago and also held his son Mohammed for 15 days before his kidnapping by the IOF.

Other IOF units stormed the house of Shaikh Yasser Amr, another prominent figure in the town, and took him away.

Amr was also detained for 25 days in the PA preventive security premises and was released only a few days ago.

In Nablus, IOF troops kidnapped two teenagers in Nablus after storming the city and the two nearby villages of Deir Sharaf and Beit Forik.

In the same context, a Palestinian detainee said that soldiers stripped and beat him up after arresting him.

Mahmoud Abayat, hailing from Bethlehem, said that the occupation soldiers continued to beat him until arrival at the Maskobiyah detention center where another round of beatings started.

The detainee, speaking to the lawyer of the Palestinian prisoner's club on Monday, said that he is suffering stomach inflammation and that he vomits blood and is given only sedatives by his Israeli jailors.

In the Gaza Strip, witnesses reported that two IOF Apaches flew at very low altitudes over Gaza city before midnight Monday in clear violation of the calm agreement.

They added that the two army choppers left the Gaza skies after quarter of an hour. They noted that the Israeli reconnaissance planes never stopped hovering over Gaza even after the calm went into effect on 19/6/2008.
