Villages near Ramallah protest on Land Day

Palestinians from a number of villages located near the central West Bank city of Ramallah protested in commemoration of Land Day on Friday.

Villagers from Beit Uor, Beit Syira, Saffa, and Al-Tiyra, gathered at the village of Khrabtha where they held midday Friday prayers and then proceeded to the Israeli settler road known as Rd. 443.

Israeli occupation soldiers blocked the protestors by installing razor wire in front of them, the protest ended peacefully after several speeches were given by the organizers.

Road 443 was closed by the army seven years ago, forbidding the surrounding Palestinians from accessing it.

Ten Injured at the weekly Bil'in Protest

Ten non-violent protestors were reported injured during the weekly Anti-Wall protest at the village of Bil'in located near the West Bank city of Ramallah on midday Friday.

As the case each week, villagers from Bil'in along with Israeli and international peace activists marched towards the location of the Wall which is separating the village from its land. As soon as the protest reached the gate of the Wall soldiers showered the protestors with tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. Medical sources reported that ten protestors suffered gas inhalation.

The village of Bil'in has been protesting the construction of the wall on the village's land since around three years.

Few months ago the Israeli court has ruled to shift the wall away from the village which saved half of the confiscated land.

Hebron – Ma'an –

An 18-year-old boy was shot by the Israeli occupation forces in the Jabal Johar area of the West Bank city of Hebron on Friday.

Safwat Al-Ajlony was taken to Al-Ahli hospital for treatment. According to medical sources he was shot in the knee.

For their part, the Israeli army said that Al-Ajlony had tried to grab a weapon from one of the Israeli occupation soldiers in the area.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap 2 Palestinians at checkpoint near Qalqilia

Israeli press sources said that Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped two Palestinians at a military checkpoint near Qalqilia, north of the West Bank on Friday morning.

The sources said that the Palestinians were carrying 9 centimetre knives, which were confiscated. The Palestinians were taken away for further investigation.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap four Palestinians in Nablus

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped four Palestinian citizens from central Nablus at dawn on Friday after storming their homes.

Palestinian security sources told Ma'an's Nablus correspondent that Israeli occupation forces stormed the city shortly after midnight, raiding dozens of homes in several areas of the city.

Palestinian security sources confirmed that 24-year-old Ihab Wasef Isteta, 26 year-old Said Mu'ayed Al- Habash, 19 year-old Firas Kalbona and 20 year-old Fadi Omar Abdel Nabi Kalbona.
