Israeli air strike on southern Gaza kills a Palestinian fighter, wounds four others IOF missile raid kills Jihad commander, wounds four others [ 30/04/2008 - 04:50 PM ] RAFAH, (PIC)-- An Israeli occupation forces (IOF) gunship fired two missiles at a garage for repairing cars in central Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Wednesday evening killing an Islamic Jihad commander and wounding four citizens. Medical and security sources told PIC reporter that the garage was owned by Lutfi Al-Mudalal in Tal Al-Sultan suburb in downtown Rafah, and identified the Jihad commander as Awad Al-Kik. They said that Kik's body was mutilated in the shelling that completely destroyed the garage, and pointed out that the wounded, which included two children, were in serious conditions. They identified the two boys as Ahmed Salah, 10, and his brother Amjad, 11. Citizens in the vicinity said that Palestinian resistance fighters fired their machineguns at the gunship, and added that the IOF raid caused heavy material damage to nearby homes. The shelling came only few hours after the Palestinian factions announced in Cairo their acceptance of calm with the Israeli occupation army. Israeli officials, however, said that they fear the resistance would make use of the calm to boost military potential. to be a member of the Saraya Al-Quds brigades, the armed wing of the
Islamic Jihad, was killed and three others wounded, after sustaining
shrapnel of a missile.
