Iraqi army forces on Wednesday killed two gunmen
in Mosul, a Ninewa security source said. The spokesman pointed out “the army force
clashed with the gunmen while conducting search operations in the
western desert area of the district, killing them and set their vehicle
on fire.” Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies

in Kirkuk An officer and a policeman were injured in a bomb blast near their vehicle patrol in southwestern Kirkuk, a police source said on Wednesday. "A roadside bomb went off targeting a police vehicle patrol in al-Waseti neighborhood in southwestern Kirkuk, injuring a lieutenant and a policeman," the source, who asked for anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq (VOI).
