 43 Iraqis Killed in War Attacks, Including 15 in US Air Raids on Sadr City, According to April 21, 2008 News Reports 
 Yaqen.net reported that 15 Mahdi Army militiamen were killed in two US air raids on Sadr City. Seven were killed in the first raid and eight in the second, according to US forces. amsi.org reported that an Iraqi family of five were killed in a US air raid on their house in Al-Ameen neighborhood, in Baghdad, including a couple and three children. 
 U.S. drone goes down north of Hilla
		 A U.S. drone went down at 6 pm on Monday in 
		north of Hilla, a police source said. “The U.S. forces rushed to the area and lifted 
		the wreck,” he added. Civilian 
		killed, 2 cops injured, body found in Mosul
		 One civilian was killed by gunmen, two policemen were injured and a driver’s body was found in separate incidents in Mosul, said a police source on Monday. “Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a civilian in al-Islah al-Zeraei region in western Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI) on condition of anonymity. Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Ninewa operations, Brigadier Khaled Abdul Sattar, told VOI that an improvised explosive device went off targeting a police vehicle patrol in al-Jamea'a neighborhood in northern Mosul, wounding two policemen. “Policemen found a driver’s body after hours of 
		being kidnapped,” the brigadier added. “Gunmen kidnapped him in 17 Tamouz region in western Mosul this morning and took him to unknown place,” Abdul Sattar highlighted. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, is 405 km north of 
		Baghdad. Body found, 
		two civilians wounded in Mosul  Security forces on Monday found a body in eastern Mosul, while two civilians were injured in a bomb explosion in the northern part of the city, the official spokesman for the Ninewa operations command said. “Police forces found a body of a civilian young man in al-Gazaer (Note: Egyptian translator's dialect for Al-Jazaer) neighborhood in eastern Mosul,” Brig. Khaled Abdul Sattar Sa'adon told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI). “The body belongs to a 16 year-old young man and bore signs of shot wounds to the head,” he explained. Meanwhile, the brigadier said that “Iraqi army 
		forces managed to detonate an explosive charge, planted by unknown 
		gunmen on the main road in al-Rashidiya region in northern Mosul.” Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north 
		of Baghdad. 14 people 
		killed, 55 wounded in Sadr city clashes  14 people were killed, 55 others were wounded in the clashes that took place in Sadr city, eastern Baghdad, during the past 24 hours, a police source said on Monday. "14 people were killed, 55 others were wounded, 
		in the armed operations that took place in Sadr city, from Sunday 
		morning until Monday morning," the source told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of 
		Iraq – (VOI).  The source did not identify the number of civilians, gunmen, and security forces members among the statistics. Over the past two days, Sadr city has witnessed 
		armed clashes between Iraqi-U.S. forces that have surrounded the city 
		for three weeks, and the Sadr movement's Mahdi Army fighters, as the 
		city is considered one of their most important strongholds in Baghdad. 3 US-recruited 
		fighters killed, 4 wounded in Diala  Three members of the (US-recruited) Popular 
		Committees were killed and four others wounded when a female suicide 
		bomber attacked a Committees HQ in central Ba'aqouba on Monday, police 
		said.  The source did not give further details. The Committees, comprising 8-10,000 fighters, 
		are armed factions that work with Iraqi and U.S. forces 
		in the fight against al-Qaeda as part of Operation Arrowhead Ripper, 
		launched in June 2007. The suicide bombing attack is the second to take place in Diala today. Earlier on Monday a security source said a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest near a joint checkpoint of Iraqi and U.S. forces in the district of Kana'an, Ba'aqouba, during the early hours of Monday but left no casualties. "A suicide bomber with an explosive belt blew 
		himself up a few meters away from a joint Iraqi-U.S. checkpoint in 
		central Kana'an district," the source, who requested anonymity, told 
		VOI. Gunmen kill officer 
		near Touz Khormato  A police officer in the rank of captain was killed by unidentified gunmen in Amirli area, Touz Khormato district, on Monday, a police source said. "Unknown gunmen opened a volley of fire at Cap. Saed Ibrahim al-Bayyati in front of his home in Soliman Pek village, (15 km) south of Touz Khormato, killing him instantly," the source, who declined to have his name revealed, told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI). "The gunmen then escaped to an unknown place, 
		the source added. Suicide 
		blast targets joint checkpoint in Diala  A suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest near a joint checkpoint of Iraqi and U.S. forces in the district of Kana'an, Ba'aqouba, during the early hours of Monday but left no casualties, a security source said. "A suicide bomber with an explosive belt blew himself up a few meters away from a joint Iraqi-U.S. checkpoint in central Kana'an district," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq – (VOI). "The attack left no casualties among Iraqi or 
		U.S. forces' ranks," the source said. Kurdish official, 4 escorts wounded in 
		Kirkuk blast  A Kurdish official and four of his escorts were 
		wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near their 
		vehicle in central Kirkuk on Monday, an official police source said.  "The blast also caused severe damage to the vehicle," the source said, adding the wounded were rushed to the Kirkuk hospital for treatment. The PUK is one of the main components in the Kurdistan Coalition (KC), the second largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament with 55 out of a total 275 seats. Kirkuk, an oil-rich city of mixed population of 
		ethnic and religious groups, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital
