Mauritanian President, Sidi Weld Al-Shaikh, Reconsiders Diplomatic Relations With the Israeli Occupation Government Hamas hails Mauritania decision to reevaluate its relations with Israel [ 14/04/2008 - 04:38 PM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- The Hamas Movement hailed the decision taken by Mauritania's president Sidi Weld Al-Shaikh which calls for reevaluating his country's relations with the Israeli occupation government in response to the Mauritanian public opinion, considering it a "courageous step in the right direction." Hamas expressed hope that this decision would urge all Arab and Islamic countries which normalized their relations with the Israeli occupation to reconsider these relations. Hamas in light of this daring step called for forming an Arab and Islamic axis supporting the justice of the Palestinian people's rights and Arab and Islamic causes against the Zio-American alliance whose expansionism poses a lurking threat not only to the Palestinian people but also to the entire region.
