Israeli Occupation Special Forces kidnap Executive Force Public Relations officer,  Muhawesh Al-Qady

Saturday September 08, 2007 11:23 by Wisam Afifa - 1 of International Middle East Media Center - IMEMC Editorial Group nisreen at imemc dot org

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation special forces on Friday night kidnapped Muhawesh Al-Qady, public relations officer for the (Hamas) Executive Force.

The operation was said to be carried out by an undercover unit of the Israeli army, who dressed as members of the Executive Force.

After intercepting Al-Qady’s car, the man was transferred to Gaza international airport where an Israeli helicopter transported him to an unknown destination inside the green line.

Earlier on Thursday Israeli media sources revealed that Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak was involved in overnight discussions with army leaders in an attempt to ring an end to rocket-fire from Palestinian fighters, and to overcome Hamas rule in Gaza.

The kidnapping comes as a new way by the Israeli occupation army of attacking Hamas leaders and activists. In the past, several other methods were used, namely extrajudicial assassinations and crippling economic sanctions.

Hamas: Gunmen, apparently collaborators with the Israeli occupation forces, abduct Executive Force public relations officer

Saturday September 08, 2007 05:09 by IMEMC Staff saed at imemc dot org

Palestine-info news website, run by Hamas movement, reported on Friday evening that gunmen, apparently collaborators with the Israeli occupation, kidnapped Muhawish Al-Qadi, the public relations officer of the Executive Force in the Eastern District, east of Rafah in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas-run news website, Palestine-info, reported that the gunmen, driving a white vehicle and wearing civilian clothes, obstructed the vehicle of Al-Qadi and abducted him.

The gunmen then drove towards the Gaza International Airport where he was placed into a military helicopter and moved to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, Hamas sources reported that the assailants were disguised in clothes used by the Executive Force, ambushed Al-Qadi, and sped away to areas close to the security fence near Sofa and Karm Abu Salem (Kerem shalom) crossing, east of Rafah, where extensive Israeli occupation military presence and helicopters were noticed.

Members of the Executive Force installed roadblocks and initiated a probe into the incident.

On its website, the Executive Force reported that the under-cover Israeli forces are behind the attack and that they later placed him in a military helicopter and moved him to an unknown destination.
