Invading Israeli occupation forces clash with Palestinian activists near Jenin

Jenin – Ma'an – 

More than twenty Israeli occupation forces vehicles on Sunday invaded the town of Kafr Dan, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and stormed several homes allegedly in search of 'wanted' Palestinians.

Palestinian activists attempted to block the invading forces.

Local resident Nadir Salah told Ma'an's reporter that the Israeli occupation forces ordered Palestinians, through loudspeakers, to evacuate their homes and gather in the streets.

The Israeli occupation soldiers separated men from women and interrogated the men about the location of so-called 'wanted' Palestinians.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces besieged the home of Islamic Jihad activist twenty-two-year-old Ala' Mas'ud and seized him.

Confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and the invading soldiers.

Palestinians pelted Israeli troops with stones and the soldiers retaliated with sonic bombs, tear gas and rubber bullets. One Palestinian youth was reported to have choked on the tear gas.

A spokesperson of Fateh's Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that its fighters clashed with the Israeli forces. No casualties were reported.

Israeli occupation forces storm Qabatiya

Jenin – Ma'an – 

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday morning invaded the northern West Bank town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and set ambushes throughout the old city.

Palestinian activists from Islamic Jihad's Al-Quds Brigades countered the invading troops. No injuries were reported.

Local sources reported that seven Israeli occupation military vehicles stormed the town under cover of an air force plane.

Infantry Israeli occupation soldiers were deployed in the old city and fired live ammunition and launched sonic bombs.

The sources added that the soldiers occupied several deserted houses and used them to seize activists.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap eleven Palestinians in the West Bank, including undersecretary and a physician

Bethlehem – Ma'an – 

Israeli occupation forces on Sunday kidnapped eleven Palestinians from different areas of the West Bank.

According to Israeli press sources, the kidnappings took place in Bethlehem, Hebron and Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation forces kidnapped assistant undersecretary of the Palestinian ministry of transportation forty-three-year-old Faydi Al-Tamimi from his home in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Local sources added that the Israeli occupation forces also kidnapped a physician from Hebron thirty-two-year-old Firas Mujahid.

Israeli forces demolish a slaughterhouse in Jabalia

Gaza – Ma'an – 

The Israeli occupation army on Sunday demolished a cattle slaughterhouse belonging to the local council of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces also destroyed several barns and sheep farms in the area.

Israeli bulldozers razed the slaughterhouse; the losses are estimated to be in excess of $80,000 US.

Spokesperson of Jabalia municipal council Walid Abu Zir condemned the assault, saying it would have an impact on all local residents as it was the sole slaughterhouse in the area.
