4,000 Israeli occupation police officers deployed around Al-Aqsa Mosque to prevent Muslims from attending 3rd Friday Prayer of Ramadan

4,000 Israeli deployed around Al-Aqsa for 3rd Friday Prayer of Ramadan

Date: 28 / 09 / 2007 Time: 09:44

Bethlehem - Ma'an –

The Israeli occupation government has deployed 4,000 of its police officers around the walls of the Al-Aqsa mosque in occupied East Jerusalem for what they describe as "security preparation" during the third Friday prayer of Ramadan.

Israeli sources added that the police will not allow male residents of the West Bank who are under the age of 45 to go to the Al-Aqsa mosque without a permit. But they will allow men over the age of 50 to go to the mosque without a permit. This however does not take into account men between the age of 45 and 50, who do not appear to be included in Israel's ruling.

The Israeli occupation government said that it will allow women who are under 45 year old to go to the mosque but only with a permit. Women over 45 will not need a permit.
