In southern Gaza city, an Israeli occupation forces drone fired a missile on a jeep, killing four Palestinians, said to be members of the Army of Islam group, local sources said. Medics and witnesses told IMEMC that at least three other bystanders have been hurt in the rocket attack. “ The car I was riding was just few meters away from the target jeep, abruptly, we saw the jeep being blown up, as remnants of killed people have been scattered in front of our car. It has been so horrible, so horrible”, Hmmada Hammad, an 18-year-old guy told IMEMC. In the meantime, Israeli occupation army artillery shelled Palestinian areas in northern Gaza Strip, causing the instant death of three other people and wounding more than a dozen, medics confirmed. Israeli occupation army tanks and armored vehicles have been reportedly incurred Wednesday few hundred meters into the northern border Gaza Strip city of Beit Hanoun. The latest incursion took place in four different axis of the city, amidst the residents’ fear of a large-scale Israeli occupation forces offensive on the Gaza Strip. Israeli occupation government defense minister, Ehud Barak, hinted on Wednesday at the possibility that a large Israeli occupation army attack on the coastal region has become more likely. As of today, more homemade shells have been fired by the Palestinian resistance groups into nearby Israeli areas. No causalities have been reported. Israeli occupation government cabinet declared last week that the Gaza Strip is ‘an enemy entity’, warning of imposing a number of measures on the population, like cutting off electricity or fuel supplies. Barak hints extensive Gaza operation likely Wednesday September 26, 2007 15:41 by john smith - IMEMC & agencies johnsmithimemc at gmail dot com Israeli occupation government defense minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday declared that the Israeli occupation army was "nearing an extensive operation the Gaza Strip." Speaking to army radio, Barak declared that the likelihood of an extensive operation in the coastal region was growing with each passing day. Explaining why an attack had not yet been launched, Barak cited logistical issues for the delay, noting that it would not be "easy in terms of forces, the amount of time the (Israeli occupation forces) would have to stay there, or in terms of the operational challenges the fighters will be met with." Barak's statements follow last week's decision to declare the Gaza Strip a "hostile entity," with the Israeli occupation government cabinet warning that a future restriction of fuel and electricity supplies to the region would be seriously considered. Seven killed and many wounded in Israeli invasion of Gaza Strip Date: 26 / 09 / 2007 Time: 16:57 Gaza – Ma'an – At least seven people were killed and a number of other injured in Israeli air and ground attack in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. Medical sources have said the injured are in a critical condition. Three people died instantly and another was seriously injured when the Israeli airforce bombed a car in which they were travelling, south of Gaza city. Ma'an's correspondent said that an Israeli airplane launched at least two rockets at the car, carrying the four armed men, thought to be members of the Army of Islam. Three other bystanders were also injured. All the dead and injured were taken to Al-Shifaa Hospital in Gaza City. The army of Islam denied that their leader Khattab Al-Maqdisi was among the dead, but confirmed that four members of the group were killed. Mu'awiyah Hassanein, the director of ambulance and emergency department in the Palestinian Ministry of Health named the victims as Fawzi Al-Ashram, Hussein Ahil, Ayman Dalool and Usama Reifi. The dead have been identified as Khayri Hamdan, 26, Muhammad Udwan, 20, and Muhammad Basyuni, 24. Eyewitnesses told Ma'an that dozens of Israeli occupation tanks and military vehicles invaded Beit Hanoun from four directions, seizing control of the city. According to local residents, Israeli occupation forces reached the entrance of the town, under the cover of Israeli occupation fighter jets and Apache helicopters firing on agricultural lands. Mu'awiyah Hassanein said he feared there would be many casualties. He announced that all medical preparations for the incursion had been made, and several additional ambulances had been sent to the north of the Gaza Strip. Earlier on Wednesday Israeli occupation government defense minister, Ehud Barak, said in an interview on Israeli radio that an "extensive operation" in the Gaza Strip was imminent. "We will use all our diplomatic means to weaken the Hamas leadership and its effectiveness, but the truth must be told, we are nearing an extensive operation in Gaza, he told Israeli army radio. However, Barak admitted that the planned incursion into Gaza would not be easy.
