Israeli occupation forces kidnap 22 Palestinians in ongoing raids throughout the West Bank Date: 24 / 09 / 2007 Time: 10:07 Nablus – Ma'an – Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 22 Palestinians during raids in in the West Bank Monday morning. Ten of those detained were taken from the area around the city of Nablus. Separately, Israeli forces stormed the village of Dair Al-Hatab, east of Nablus, laying siege to the home of Ahmad Masha'ati, a leader in the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PLFP), threatening to demolish the building if he did not surrender. Local sources said Israeli military vehicles invaded the village of Beit Fourik, east of Nablus seizing seven PFLP supporters. The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the village of Awarta, south of Nablus, and seizing one Palestinian. Another resident was taken by Israeli soldiers from Balata refugee camp east of Nablus. The sources also alleged that a Kalashnikov rifle with ammunition was discovered in Kafr Qallil, also near Nablus. Other raids were reported in Jenin, Ramallah, and Hebron. In addition, the sources claimed that explosive devices were launched at the Israeli forces operating in Jenin. No casualties were reported. In Dair al-Hattab village, east of Nablus, Israeli occupation forces besieged the house of Ahmad Masha’ati, a local leader of the Abu ali Mustafa brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Meanwhile, Israeli armored vehicles invaded the Beit Foureek village, also east of Nablus, where Israeli troops rounded up a number of PFLP supporters. In Awatra village, south of Nablus, one Palestinian civilian was kidnapped by invading Israeli forces. A second resident was taken from the Balata refugee camp, located in Nablus. Further kidnappings were also reported in Jenin, Ramallah and Hebron.
