Four Palestinian children injured by remnants of Israeli military operation in Gaza

Four Palestinian children were injured on Friday night when an unknown device exploded. The device is believed to be a remnant of the Israeli military's operation in Beit Lahiya, located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Mou'weya Hansnain, General Director of Emergency in the Ministry of Health, identified the children as Shadi Zidan, 10, Mohammad Isam, 14, Mohammad Abu Halima, 15, and Nasser Adel, 16, adding that one sustained critical injuries.

The device is reported to have exploded as children attempted to dismantle it.

Israeli occupation soldiers beat elderly Palestinian woman at Qalandya checkpoint

Qalqilia – Ma'an – 

An elderly Palestinian woman was attacked and beaten by Israeli occupation soldiers at Qalandya checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah on Friday as she attempted to go to prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sixty-year-old Fatima Al-Aqra'a from Qalqilia, in the northern West Bank, sustained minor wounds and bruises as a result of the attack.

The Israeli occupation forces (at the checkpoint) prevented thousands of Palestinian Muslims from entering Jerusalem for prayer at the third holiest site in Islam on Friday (allegedly) because it was the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

Israeli occupation forces attack a Mosque near Jenin

Several worshippers were overcome by tear gas on Friday night when the Israeli occupation army attacked the Wad Al-Farea'a Mosque, located south of Jenin.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli force invaded the village of Al Farea'a, surrounded the mosque and fired tear gas into the building, injuring several worshippers.

Also near Jenin, Palestinian resistance fighters fired an explosive device at an Israeli military unit as it patrolled the northern West Bank town of Qabatya. In the aftermath of the operation, Israeli occupation forces called for reinforcements, searching and ransacking the town and detaining several civilians for interrogation.

Israeli Soldier Fires at Muslim Worshippers at Qalandia Checkpoint, Injuring a Woman

Woman injured as Israeli 'sniper' fires on PNI leader Barghouthi

Jerusalem – Ma'an –

 Israeli police detained the Palestinian Member of Parliament and leader of the Palestinian National Initiative (PNI), Mustafa Al-Barghouthi on Friday morning on his way to Jerusalem for Friday prayers.

He was detained at the Al-Dhahiya checkpoint in the north of Jerusalem after he got out of his car.

Dr Barghouthi told Ma'an that he was held for three hours before being released.

He then drove to the Qalandia Checkpoint in the central West Bank and attended Friday prayers in front of the checkpoint.

He told Ma'an that after the prayer an Israeli army "sniper" started shooting rubber bullets at the worshippers from the checkpoint watchtower

Twenty-four-year-old Jameela Hasan, a mother of six, was shot in the head. She was taken to Ramallah Hospital.
