4 Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, several residents injured

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reporter on Thursday that four Palestinians were killed during the military offensive carried by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip. Several residents were injured and at least twenty were abducted.

Sources in Hamas movement reported that Imad Riziq Abu Jheir, 35, one of the leaders of the Al-Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, was shot and killed during clashes with the invading Israeli forces, east of the Al Boreij refugee camp.

Riziq is the field leader of the brigades, Hamas reported.

Excessive damage was reported to several houses and constructions in the area as the army used tank shells and heavy rounds.

Also, resident Mohammad Sulaiman Abu Juhair, 22, died after being shot by a round of live ammunition fired by invading Israeli forces in the camp.

Another resident, identified as Younus Abu Juhair was also killed by military fire during the invasion.

Earlier on Thursday morning, a Palestinian child identified as Mahmoud Kayed Al-Kafafy, 17, was killed after he was run over an Israeli military bulldozer.

The child was crushed to death as he stood near some trees, east of the camp. His body was severely deformed which made it difficult to identify him.

Witnesses added that another civilian was injured and lay in the fields where medics and ambulances were unable to reach him.

Several residents were injured during the invasion and at least twenty others were taken prisoner, one of the abductees was also shot and injured.

Meanwhile, three soldiers were reportedly injured by Palestinian gunfire during an invasion to the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

Resistance fighters used RPG shells and detonated an explosive under a military bulldozers.

The Al-Qassam brigades stated that its fighters managed, throughout the day, to fire at least 60 mortar shells at Israeli tanks and armored vehicles that gathered east of the camp since early Thursday morning.

Fighters also fired mortar shells at a house which was occupied by Israeli forces, and detonated an two explosive charges near a tank and an armored vehicle.

Several resistance groups fired homemade shells at the Israeli Negev town of Sderot and several military camps adjacent to the Gaza Strip in retaliation to the military offensive.
