34 Iraqis Killed, Including 18 Executed by Death Squads, Car Bomb Explosion in Al-Kadhimiya, in a September 2, 2007 Report

The US news agency, Associated Press, reported no war attacks from Iraq until 10:00 am ET.

The Iraq News Agency (INA) reported the following news on September 2, 2007.

- A suicide car bomb exploded at the entrance of an Iraqi army base in Taji, northeast of Baghdad, killing himself, two soldiers, and injuring eight others, in an initial count.

- A car bomb exploded in Al-Kadhimiyah, north of Baghdad, killing nine people and injuring fifteen, in an initial count.

- US forces closed the police station in Al-Khadra neighborhood, west of Baghdad, on August 29, 2007, because of its inability to end attacks in the area.

- US embassy in iraq is larger than Vatican city, cost US taxpayers $600 million, and will be protected by a marine unit living inside its fences.

- 15 bodies of Iraqis executed by death squads were found in Baghdad.

The Iraqi newspaper Sotaliraq reported the following news on September 2, 2007.

- A policeman and a soldier were killed by gunmen in a car, near Kirkuk.

- 3 bodies of Iraqis executed by death squads were found in Al-Diwaniyah, southern Iraq.

- An interpreter and a contractor working with US forces were killed when they returned home in Wasit.
