B'Tselem: Stripping Palestinians of their homes contravenes Palestinians human rights

The Israeli Center for Human Rights "B'Tselem" has demanded the Israeli occupation government military Deputy-General to issue orders to the Israeli police to investigate the widespread demolition of homes in Qalqiliya and the practices associated with these demolitions.

B'Tselem demanded that military Deputy-General issue an order to compensate those affected by destruction of their property.

According to B’Tselem report, on August 29 Israeli occupation forces, backed by bulldozers, invaded the city of Qalqiliya, claiming that they were searching for so-called wanted Palestinians. Troops stormed buildings in the area, asserting that they were used by Hamas members.

According to B'Tselem, Israeli occupation soldiers breached the basic principles of the fourth Geneva Convention by stripping Palestinians of their homes, and detaining them in their underwear as they searched their homes.

Despite the fact that the operation in Qalqiliya fulfilled all the criteria of a military operation, the Israeli occupation army has refused to launch an investigation into the alleged wrongdoings.
