13 Palestinian Civilians Injured by Israeli Occupation Forces Attacking North Gaza Strip, Nablus, Jenin

Four Palestinians were injured on Tuesday morning when their home in Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip, was hit by an Israeli artillery shell.

One eyewitness told Ma'an, "The shell landed on a home which belongs to Iyad Abu Al-Qumsan, injuring him, and three of his family. All were taken to hospital for treatment."

The shell struck the home while the family slept, damaging the building and injuring four residents, one of whom is in a critical condition.

Palestinian medical sources said that the wounded are 21-year-old Iyad Abu Al-Qumsan, his two sisters Nadya, aged 5, and Rawan, 7. All three were moderately injured.

17-year-old Nadin, who was also injured in the assault, is in a critical condition.

Previous Israeli incursion in Al Ein refugee camp (MaanImages) Nablus – Ma'an – Two Palestinians were injured, and three others seized, on Tuesday morning when Israeli forces invaded Al Ein refugee camp, in Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that several Israeli military vehicles raided the refugee camp and began house-to-house inspections.

Israeli troops blasted through walls between Palestinian homes to ease their passage during the raid.

Two Palestinians were wounded by the blasts; 70-year-old Muhammad Barakat and another elderly woman. The two elderly Palestinian citizens were injured as a wall collapsed over them.

During the incursion, three Palestinians were taken into detention from different areas of Nablus.

Seven Palestinians injured by invading Israeli occupation forces in Jenin

Jenin – Ma'an – 

Seven Palestinians were injured, including a number of children, as clashes erupted on Tuesday between Palestinian resistance fighters and invading Israeli occupation forces in Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank.

Palestinian security sources reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the refugee camp from all directions and besieged the home of Ammar Abu Ghalyun on the pretext that the house contained 'wanted' Palestinians.

Eyewitnesses stated that an Israeli undercover force, in a Palestinian-plated car, entered the refugee camp before the arrival of numerous Israeli military vehicles.

Palestinian fighters hurled grenades at the invading Israeli forces. The Israeli soldiers shot into the Palestinian civilian area.

Confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers on the streets of the refugee camp. The Palestinian youths threw stones and bottles at the soldiers.

Consequently, seven Palestinians were moderately and lightly wounded.

Local citizens said that the Israeli troops seized a bystander during the clashes; 23-year-old Shadi Mir'i.

The Israeli forces withdrew from the location after discovering the besieged home was empty.

Israeli occupation army kidnaps two and injures one woman in Nablus invasion

The Israeli occupation army kidnapped two Palestinian in Nablus and injured one woman from the Ein Beit El-Ma refugee camp in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Local sources reported that 15 military vehicles invaded the area, kidnapping two Palestinians later identified as Fares Manour, 34, and Fareed Abu Layl, 21.

A woman from the Ein Beit El-Ma' refugee camp sustained moderate injuries to her hand when clashed between the invading soldiers and resistance fighters broke out.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli Special Forces invaded the camp, opening fire on Hamas member Amjad Zamel, injuring him in the legs. The man was later moved to an unknown detention center.

 Israeli occupation army attacks Jenin refugee camp, injuring seven

At least 20 armored Israeli occupation army vehicles and two bulldozers invaded the northern West Bank city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp in the early hours of Tuesday morning, inuring seven civilians, several of whom were children.

After storming the city in the early hours of the morning, the army attacked and searched homes. During this attack, clashes erupted between the invading soldiers and local stone-throwing youths.

Medical sources in the camp reported that seven were injured, among them two children. All injuries were caused by either tear gas or rubber-coated steel bullets.

Among those injured were Mohamed Awaad, Haytham Al-Badawi, and Ra'fat O'wes.

Palestinian sources in the camp have reported that the offensive remains ongoing, with Israeli troops have taken over several homes for use as military outposts.

So far, one civilian has been kidnapped by the invading troops. Witnesses have identified the man as Ahmad Mr'ei.

In other parts of the West Bank, Palestinian media sources reported pre-dawn invasions of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus and Hebron. In all, 17 Palestinian civilians have been kidnapped so far.

Note to Readers:

The Israeli settlements as well as the Land-Grab, Apartheid Wall in the Palestinian occupied territories have been built illegally on confiscated Palestinian lands. These represent a major violation of international law, Geneva Conventions, and they obstruct reaching a peaceful resolution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The Israeli occupation forces abduct and kidnap Palestinians from their homes and at checkpoints, on daily basis. Most media refer to these abductions and kidnappings as arrests, which is inaccurate and not true as the Israeli occupation government has no jurisdiction over Palestinian citizens inside their own territories.

Further, when Israeli occupation forces kill Palestinian civilians, particularly when the victims are women and children, this should be referred to as an act of terrorism, and perpetrators should be described as terrorists.

Since the end of the second intifadha in 2005, not a single Israeli civilian was killed by Palestinian resistance organizations. However, Palestinian civilians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces, almost on daily basis.

Note to Journalists:

Any journalist who does not describe this as terrorism is biased, unfair, not objective, and a participant in terrorizing the Palestinian people, so the Israeli occupation of Palestine can continue endlessly.

Note to Translators:

The Arabic definite article, Al (or its variant, El) should be written with a hyphen separating it from the noun it is associated with, for example Al-Aqsa. If a hyphen is not used, as in Al Aqsa, it confuses non-Arabic readers. They may think that it is an abbreviation of the name Albert, as many Americans do.

The Arabic definite article Al (or El) should be written as such, whether it is Shamsiyah or Qamariyah in pronunciation, simply because we are dealing with the written form of the language, not the spoken one. Using the Shamsiyah so many forms in writing is inaccurate and confusing to non-Arabic readers, to say the least.

Only standard (fasih) pronunciation of Arabic names should be used. Non-standard ('ammi)  should be avoided avoided. Example: Names like Abu Sunainah, Abu Rudainah, and Abu Shebak are written by some translators in the non-standard forms of Abu Snainah, Abu Rdainah, and Abu Shbak.

The standard pronunciation of the vowel at the end of names is (a), not (e), particularly if it is followed by (h), like in the cases of Haniyah and Rudainah, not Haniyeh and Rudaineh.

The standard pronunciation of vowels in the following names is (ai), not (ei) as written by  some translators: Hussain, not Hussein and Hassanain, not Hassanein. This is the same long vowel pronounced in the English words "rain" and "brain."
