Israeli occupation forces kidnap Palestinian near Bethlehem

Bethlehem – Ma'an – 

Israeli sources stated on Monday that Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a Palestinian near the central West Bank city of Bethlehem, alleging that he threw stones at an Israeli vehicle.

The car was undamaged and the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a bystander and took him to an interrogation centre.

Hebron – Ma'an – 

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday morning threw sonic bombs at Muslim worshippers attending Ramadan prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Palestinian security sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces wanted to prevent the gathering of hundreds of Muslim worshippers for the special Ramadhan night of Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th day of Ramadan and the holiest evening of the year for Muslims.

The Israeli occupation forces launched sonic bombs in order to force the crowds to evacuate the mosque. There were no reported casualties.

Jerusalem – Ma'an – 

Over a-quarter-of-a-million Muslim worshippers attended prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday night for Ramadan, Al-Aqsa Organisation for Reforming Islamic Holy Places reported.

Al-Aqsa Organisation also revealed that Head of the Islamic Movement in Israel Shaikh Raed Salah spent the evening in a tent in Wadi al Joz, near the Old City of Jerusalem, because the Israeli authorities prevented him from entering the mosque.

Muslim worshippers began to congregate in the Old City of Jerusalem since the early hours of Monday morning, despite intensive Israeli security measures.
