Five Palestinians injured in Israeli missile attack in Gaza

Gaza – Ma'an – 

Five Palestinians were injured, two critically, on Monday morning when Israeli fighter jets launched three missiles at a group of fighters in eastern Gaza City.

Director of Ambulance and Emergency in the Palestinian Ministry of Health Dr. Mu'awiya Hassanain said that the five wounded were transferred to Ash-Shifa Hospital and medical staff treated three others on the scene.

Palestinian resistance factions are on a state of high alert since the Israeli cabinet declared the Gaza Strip an 'enemy entity'.

Fighters from all factions have been deployed on the eastern borders of then Gaza Strip which is frequently attacked by Israeli forces.

5 Citizens Wounded in Israeli Bombing in Gaza

RAMALLAH-GAZA, October 8, 2007, (WAFA)- 

Five citizens were wounded early Monday when a number of Israeli warplanes fired a number of missiles against the citizens in al-Shuja'ya neighbourhood, eastern Gaza city, Palestinian medics said.

They told WAFA that five citizens were transferred to hospital as a result of Israeli bombardment. Two were seriously wounded while the three others in a moderate case.

Eight Palestinians injured in Gaza attacks

Eight Palestinian civilians were wounded in two different Israeli air strikes in Gaza on Monday morning.

Dr Mu'awiya Hassnain, Director of the emergency department at the Alshifa hospital of Gaza, reported that five civilians were injured when Israeli jetfighters attacked a group of civilians in the Al Shuja'iya neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza city.

Dr. Hassanain added that two sustained critical wounds.

The second air strike targeted a group of Palestinian police officers, east of Gaza city. Local sources reported that two police officers sustained moderate wounds in the attack.

On Sunday evening, a Palestinian civilian sustained moderate injures when Israeli tanks shelled homes located near the al-Mintar crossing, east of Gaza city.

Palestinian resistance fighters take military action against Israeli targets

Bethlehem – Ma'an – 

Fateh's military wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, on Monday morning claimed responsibility for hurling a bomb at an invading Israeli occupation  jeep in Qabatiya, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The Brigades alleged that the bomb hit the jeep directly.

On Sunday night, the Al-Nasser Salahuddin Brigades of the Popular Resistance Committees said that they launched two projectiles at the Israeli Western Negev town of Ashkelon.

The Brigades also claimed that they launched eight mortar shells at a residential block east of Kerem Shalom military base, near the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap 10 Palestinians

Nablus - Ma'an – 

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 10 Palestinians from various West Bank cities on Monday.

Israeli sources said the kidnappings took place in Nablus, Jenin, and Ramallah.

Israeli occupation army invades several West Bank cities; 5 Palestinians kidnapped

The Israeli occupation army invaded several areas across the West Bank on Monday morning, kidnapping at least five Palestinian civilians.

In the northern part of the West Bank, at least 10 military vehicles invaded Ain Beit Al-Maa' refugee camp, located in Nablus. Soldiers searched homes and kidnapped two civilians. The men were later identified as Ahmed Barkat, 18, and Khaled Abu Za'arour, 21.

During the invasion of the camp, local resistance fighters clashed with the invading Israeli occupation troops. Israeli sources said that one soldier was lightly wounded.

Meanwhile, in the central West Bank, Israeli occupation forces attacked and searched homes in Qaddoura refugee camp, located near Ramallah. One man, later identified Tamer Shawamrah, 18, was kidnapped in the invasion.

Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces attacked a village near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem on Monday morning, kidnapping two civilians. Local sources reported that troops entered the village of Beit Fajjar, searching homes and kidnapping Hany Taqatqa, 30, and Mohamed Taqatqa, 37.

In related news, Ali Abu Ramleh, 45, died on Sunday due to wounds sustained one month ago during an Israeli army attack on the Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern part of the West Bank.

Invading Israeli occupation soldier injured in Nablus

Israeli sources reported that an officer in the Israeli army was injured on Monday in crossfire between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian resistance fighters in Balata refugee camp, in Nablus, in the northern West Bank.

IOF officer seriously wounded in Nablus incursion

NABLUS, (PIC)-- 

An Israeli occupation forces (IOF) officer was seriously wounded at dawn Monday during a clash with Palestinian resistance fighters defending their Balata refugee camp east of Nablus city in face of an IOF incursion.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the refugee camp at an early hour Monday and were confronted by resistance fire that injured the officer, who received field treatment before being evacuated to an Israeli hospital in serious condition, according to Hebrew media sources.

The invading Israeli occupation forces also burst into several suburbs in Nablus city and kidnapped a 21-year-old young man from one of the buildings after thoroughly searching it.

Eyewitnesses said that other IOF units advanced into Ain refugee camp also in the Nablus vicinity and clashed with resistance fighters before storming a number of civilian homes and kidnapping a Palestinian teenager.
