Bethlehem – Ma'an –

Member of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), Dov Khenin, from the Arab-dominated Hadash party, on Monday called on Israel to admit responsibility for the massacre at Kafr Qasim, in Israel.

Israeli border police assassinated 48 Palestinian civilians in Kafr Qasim on October 29th, 1956.

Hadash attended a rally commemorating the 51st anniversary of the massacre and urged Israel to admit the killings and officially apologize to the Arab population of Israel.

"The calls to remove Arab citizens, particularly in the 'southern triangle', indicate the perpetuation of racism which legitimized the spilling of Arab blood 51 years ago," said Khenin.

He continued, "With the intensifying anti-Arab and anti-democracy campaign, Israeli society must be warned of where racism can take them.”
