Israeli occupation forces raid four towns, injuring and kidnapping Palestinians, resistance fighters retaliate

Citizen Wounded in Central Gaza by IOF

GAZA, October 28, 2007 (WAFA) - 

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) wounded in Sunday a citizen in the Central Gaza Strip city of Dair El-Balah, medical sources reported.

The sources said that Ahmed Al-Omour, 32, was shot and wounded by Israeli occupation soldiers who rolled into Wadi al-Salqa area, east of the city.

Witnesses said that large number of Israeli occupation troops stormed the area and opened heavy fire at houses, spreading fear and panic among civilians.

Israeli occupation forces raid three West Bank towns, kidnap one Palestinian

Tukarem – Ma'an – 

Israeli occupation forces kidnapped one Palestinian in the northern West Bank town of Anabata, near the city of Tulkarem. The Israeli army also invaded the nearby towns of Dhinnaba and Nur Shams.

Palestinian resistance fighters claim fresh attacks on Israeli targets

Gaza – Ma'an – 

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, claimed responsibility for launching a homemade projectile at the Israel border town of Sderot, near the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.

Separately, Islamic Jihad's Al-Quds Brigades and the Popular Resistance Committees' Al-Nasser Brigades claimed responsibility for launching a rocket-propelled grenade at an Israeli military jeep in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.

All three groups asserted that these operations were part of a strategy of resistance and retaliation against Israeli atrocities visited on the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
