2 Boys Wounded in Peaceful Demo Protesting Killing of Prisoner in Israeli occupation Jails HEBRON, October 24, 2007 (WAFA)- Two boys were wounded on Wednesday morning as Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire at a peaceful demonstration protesting the killing of a prisoner in Israeli jails in the West bank city of Hebron, witnesses said. They told WAFA that the two boys of al-Adarbah family were hit by rubber coated bullets in the head and in the thigh as Israeli soldiers attack and opened fire towards a demonstration to show solidarity with Palestinian prisoners being attacked by Israeli prisons’ guards in Israeli jails. The two boys were taken to al-Ahli hospital for treatment. Two days ago, Israeli prisons’ guards opened fire at prisoners in Israeli jails killing one and injuring more than 250 others. In Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, Israeli forces also kidnapped Mohammad Hammad, 34, and Murad Darwesh, 24. Witnesses said a number of Israeli occupation army jeeps surrounded the house of Hatem Al-Samouh, 18, searched it, and then kidnapped the youth. Elsewhere in the northern part of the West Bank, Israeli troops invaded Jenin, Jenin refugee camp, Nablus, and the nearby Balata refugee camp. In both attacks, soldiers searched and ransacked homes, and used tear-gas and sound-bombs on local residents. No kidnappings or injuries were reported. The settler, an adult man was moved to an Israeli hospital for treatment, the sources said. Security reports indicate that a car opened fire at the settler near Ariel settlement and fled the scene. The Israeli army later installed several flying checkpoints near the road to an attempt to stop the attackers. Israeli soldier injured in drive-by shooting Date: 24 / 10 / 2007 Time: 13:13 (MaanImages) Nablus – Ma'an – An Israeli soldier was wounded on Wednesday after being shot in the stomach near Ari'el settlement, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus. The assailants allegedly drove a vehicle with Palestinian number plates and fled after the attack. Israeli occupation forces have set up several additional roadblocks in the area. Palestinian resistance fighters retaliate for Israeli atrocities; fire 23 projectiles Date: 24 / 10 / 2007 Time: 09:36 Gaza – Ma'an – The Palestinian resistance on Tuesday night launched at least 18 homemade projectiles at Israeli towns bordering the Gaza Strip. The military wing of Islamic Jihad, the Al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility for firing three projectiles at the Israeli Western Negev town of Sderot, three at Kisufim and another two at Kfar Aza, just east of the strip. Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades of the Popular Resistance Committees said that its fighters launched three projectiles towards Ashkelon, one at Sderot and four mortar shells at the Israeli military post at Nahal 'Oz. Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades also launched five mortar shells at Kerem Shalom and Sufa Crossing points between Israel and the Gaza Strip. The operation was in retaliation for the assassination of Deputy Secretary General of the brigades Mubarak Al-Hasanat. An allied group of Fateh's Al-Aqsa Brigades and the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades of the PFLP fired two projectiles at Sderot. Israel said a projectile struck a home in Sderot, but caused no casualties. The brigades declared that the operations were in retaliation for Israeli atrocities.
