Israeli occupation forces kill Al-Aqsa Brigades activist in Jenin

Bethlehem – Ma'an – 

Undercover Israeli occupation forces (death squads) killed an activist affiliated to the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah, in the West Bank city of Jenin Thursday morning.

Muhammad Abu Srur was killed in the operation, and another Al-Aqsa Brigades activist named Hilal Sa'di was kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces.

Eyewitnesses said the activists were driving through an industrial area of eastern Jenin, and were trailed by the undercover Israelis in truck with Palestinian license plates.

One witnesses said: "Israeli forces stormed the area after the undercover unit killed Abu Srur. They imposed curfew and arrested Sa'di."

Abu Srur's body was transferred to a hospital in Jenin.

Three injured as Israeli invasion rages for second day in Qalqilya

Qalqilia – Ma'an – 

A large-scale Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Qalqilia is continuing for a second day. Israeli officials claimed they are searching for a Hamas-affiliated military cell.

Israeli sources reported that the Israeli occupation army kidnapped more than 20 Hamas supporters in the city.

Three Palestinians have been injured, one seriously, and more than ten others arrested so far in the invasion.

Palestinian medical sources said that thirteen-year-old Mu'min Abu Sharib received a bullet wound to the head, and was taken to hospital in Nablus.

More than 50 Israeli occupation military vehicles are taking part in the operation, which is considered the biggest incursion into Qalqilia since operation "Defensive Shield" was launched against all Palestinian cities in 2002.

During the current incursion, Israeli forces distributed a statement saying that the operation will continue until a "Hamas affiliated cell", stationed in the city's centre, is apprehended.

More than 20 Israeli occupation forces military vehicles entered the eastern fringe of Al-Maghazi and Dair Al-Balah refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday.

The invading forces bulldozed farms and greenhouses, appearing to fire randomly at Palestinian citizens.

Palestinian medical sources told Ma'an that twenty-two-year-old Muhamad Al-Masri was shot in the neck and was transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital in Al-Maghazi.

Israeli tanks also entered Beit Hanoun, at the northern end of the Gaza Strip.

Airstrike on Beit Hanoun

Earlier on Thursday, five Islamic Jihad fighters were injured on Thursday morning after Israeli fighter jets struck several sites in Beit Hanoun, medical officials said.

One eyewitness said, "The Israeli war planes launched three missiles causing several injuries."

(The raid was a retaliation to a retaliation as a group of Palestinian resistance fighters launched a homemade projectile towards Israeli towns last night, in retaliation for earlier Israeli attacks).

Armed Palestinian groups respond

Meanwhile, Al-Nasser Salah Addin Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees claimed responsibility on Thursday morning for launching four mortar shells at the Israeli military post at Nahal Oz border crossing, east of Gaza City.

In a separate incident, the National Resistance Brigades, affiliated with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), and the Al-Aqsa Brigades, affiliated with Fateh claimed responsibility for launching a homemade projectile at the Israeli border town of Sderot.

In separate statements, the Brigades said they would continue to bombard Israeli sites in retaliation for Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel occupation forces shell Beit Hanoun and Dair Al-Balah in Gaza: 9 injured and 20 abducted

Israeli occupation forces aircraft shelled the areas of Beit Hanoun and Dair Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, firing several rockets.

Medical sources reported that rockets caused serious injuries to five Palestinians.

Palestine News Agency, WAFA, reported that several Apache helicopters belonging to the Israeli military, shelled several areas in Beit Hanoun, wounding Palestinians and causing massive damage to the targeted areas. After the shelling, the planes used heavy gunfire on civilian property.

In related news, in the early hours of Thursday morning, four Palestinians were injured during a military operation against the Al Maghazi refugee camp and the village of Al-Masdar in central Gaza.

According to local sources more than 20 vehicles, under the cover of Israeli aircraft, invaded the area.

During the operation troops abducted at least 20 Palestinians and took them to unidentified detention centers.

Local residents said that the military opened fire randomly on their homes, causing terror and injuries.

In the same operation Israeli bulldozers razed huge areas of Palestinian land by the border fence.

Israeli occupation forces abduct 8 Palestinians including a young woman from Nablus and Sura

Israeli occupation forces conducted a wide-scale abduction campaign in the early hours of Thursday morning, abducting 7 Palestinian men and one young woman from the northern West Bank city of Nablus and the village of Sura.

Security sources reported to Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, that troops backed by a large number of military vehicles invaded the area from several directions and opened fire randomly at local people.

The same sources reported that Israeli occupation forces intensified their presence in several neighborhoods in the area. Homes were ransacked, property was confiscated and people were forced from their homes.

During the operation the army kidnapped four Palestinians from Nablus and four from Sura village. They were identified as Ayat Waleed Al Salty, 18, Ahmad Shqerat,19, Tayseer Abed Al Haq,17, Huthyfa Abu Mustafa,22, Mohammad Turaby,34, Ahmad Ghanim,34, Ala Turaby,23 and Hassan Turaby,30.

In related news the Israeli occupation army invaded the city of Al-Bireh and the village of Beit Sera. One Palestinian was kidnapped but later released.

Security sources told WAFA that the army invaded the Al Shurfa neighborhood of Al Bireh, kidnapping Fadi Shehada and interrogating him before letting him go. In the same operation the army invaded the village of Beit Sera and opened fire on residents. No abduction or injuries were reported.
