Israeli occupation forces enter Gaza Strip, detaining residents

Israeli occupation forces vehicles entered the Gaza Strip amid heavy gunfire near the town of Wadi Al-Salqa, following an Israeli undercover force on Wednesday morning.

The mayor of Wadi Al-Salqa said that one hundred Israeli soldiers conducted house to house searches, detaining male residents in one house.

Earlier in the morning, the mayor said,  Israeli occupation forces kidnapped residents from their home during the dawn prayer.

Israeli occupation army demolishes a house in central Gaza

On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army demolished a Palestinian-owned house to the east of Dair El-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip, media reports and witnesses said.

The two-storey house, which is located on the eastern outskirts of Dair El-Balah belongs to Mohammad al-Kurd and it is the third time this building has been demolished in the past seven years.

Israeli army actions inside Palestinian areas in the Gaza Strip have been on the rise recently, after the Israeli defense minister, Ehud Barak, hinted at a potential large-scale military offensive in the coastal region, as part of what Israel says is ‘an attempt to stop Palestinian resistance groups from firing homemade shells into nearby Israeli towns’.

Israeli media sources reported earlier that the Israeli army will probably begin military attacks on the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

In the meantime, at least three people were reportedly injured and a fourth is said to be missing after a tunnel on the Gaza-Egypt border collapsed.

Palestinian Media sources reported recently that some Palestinians use tunnels to access goods and commodities, in a time when the Israeli army has been imposing strict closures on Gaza's crossings, since the Islamist Hamas group took over the region in mid June.

Israeli occupation forces detain Palestinians at flying checkpoints and kidnap 2 in an invasion of Hebron city

Israeli occupation forces detained scores of civilians at two flying checkpoints that were positioned in two areas in the southern West Bank city of Hebron on Wednesday morning.

Security sources reported that soldiers obstructed the movement of Palestinian private and public cars and detained scores of civilians to check their identity cards. No abductions were reported.

In a separate operation, the Israeli military invaded the city of Hebron and the nearby town of Beit Omer, kidnapping two Palestinians.

The Prisoner Society office in Hebron reported that Israeli occupation forces kidnapped Ahmad Al Ju'ba,22; and Bassam Allama,19. Both were taken to an undisclosed destination.

Palestinians detained as Israeli occupation forces invade Jenin

Dozens of Israeli occupation forces vehicles entered the West Bank city of Jenin early on Wednesday morning, searching for Palestinian activists wanted by Israeli authorities.

Witnesses said the soldiers were searching for Tariq Abu Ghaliya, an activist with Islamic Jihad's armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades. Failing to locate Abu Ghaliya, the  Israeli occupation soldiers detained his father and brother instead.

Israeli occupation forces invade Balata refugee camp, kidnapping 25 Palestinians

Israeli occupation forces invaded Balata refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Nablus on Wednesday morning, kidnapping 25 Palestinians, including the wife of an anti-occupation activist.

Sources in the camp said that more than 40 military vehicles entered the camp, with with paratroopers dropping from Israeli warplanes.

The Israeli occupation forces destroyed a two-story home belonging to prominent Islamic Jihad fighter Hani Al-Ka'bi, who has ties to Fateh.

Soldiers detained Salam Abu Aziz, the wife of Nasser Abu Aziz, a leader of Fatah's Al-Aqsa Brigades in Balata. Sources said she was released after several hours.

Some of the detained Palestinians were released, while many remain in Israeli custody.

Palestinian resistance factions strike Israeli targets around Gaza Strip

Gaza – Ma'an – Three 

Palestinian resistance organizations claimed responsibility for separate attacks on Israeli occupation forces targets bordering the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning.

The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for launching a homemade projectile at the Israeli border town of Sderot.

Meanwhile, the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) claimed responsibility for launching a projectile at Israeli military vehicles near the village of Juhor Ad-Dik.

Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades also said their fighters launched arocket-propelled grenade at two Israeli occupation bulldozers in the town of Abu Al-Ajin, in the central Gaza Strip.

Fighters shell Israeli occupation forces post, Islamic Jihad says

Gaza – Ma'an – 

Islamic Jihad's military wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility for launching two homemade projectiles at an Israeli military post east of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday evening.

The group said the shelling was a response for what they see as Israeli aggression against Palestinian resistance fighters in the West Bank.

Al-Aqsa brigades claim responsibility for projectile attack on Sderot

Gaza – Ma'an –

Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fateh, claimed responsibility on Tuesday evening for launching two homemade projectiles at the Israeli town of Sderot, in the desert near the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement the group said the attack was a part of a campaign they are calling Autumn of Gaza, in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Palestinians.

The group also claimed that Israelis had confirmed the attack. They said the rockets landed in a school and a sports field, causing four injuries.

The Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported that two projectiles did land in Sderot, causing three Israelis to be treated for shock.
