Sotaliraq newspaper reported: - A man was killed and his 6-year-old daughter was injured by a katyousha rocket in Tal Afar. - 3 Iraqis were killed by US forces in Abu Ghraib, 3 more Iraqis were killed by US forces south of Tikrit. - Police forces found 6 bodies of Iraqis executed by death squads in Baghdad. *** Five gunmen killed in Babel Babel - Voices of Iraq Wednesday , 07 /11 /2007 Time 7:03:46 Hilla, Nov 7, (VOI)- An Iraqi army force, backed by U.S. troops, killed five gunmen (Iraqi resistance fighters), on Wednesday during a military operation in Babel province, a security source said. "An Iraqi army force, backed by U.S. troops, launched, this afternoon, a search campaign in Moihah area near al-Iskanderiyah district," the source, who asked to remain unnamed, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). The source added "the forces clashed with five gunmen, killing them all." "There were casualties among the forces," he added. Babel province lies about 100 km south of Baghdad. Kirkuk blast casualties up to 17 Kirkuk - Voices of Iraq Wednesday , 07 /11 /2007 Time 7:03:46 Kirkuk, Nov 7, (VOI) – Casualties from the suicide bombing that ripped through the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in southern Kirkuk reached 17 wounded, a medic from Kirkuk Hospital said on Wednesday. "Kirkuk Hospital received 17 wounded, all of whom except for one are in stable condition," the medic, who preferred to remain unnamed, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). A car bomb explosion targeted the headquarters of the KDP, led by Iraq's Kurdistan President Massoud al-Barazani, on Wednesday afternoon. A local police source told VOI earlier that at least 12 individuals were injured in the attack based on an initial count. Kirkuk, a mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians, and Arabs lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SS/SR Sniper kills member of Islamic party in Baghdad Baghdad - Voices of Iraq Wednesday , 07 /11 /2007 Time 7:03:46 Baghdad, Nov 7, (VOI)- A media source from the Islamic Party said on Wednesday that one of the party's members was killed by unknown sniper late on Tuesday in al-Doura neighborhood in southern Baghdad. "Muhannad Mezher al-Shekheli, a member of the Iraqi Islamic Party, was killed by sniper fire while he was riding his car in al-Doura neighborhood in southern Baghdad," the source told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI). He did not provide further details. The Iraqi Islamic party is a Sunni political party in Iraq. The party's current general secretary is Tareq al-Hashemi (one of Iraq's two vice-presidents), who succeeded Dr. Mohsen Abdul Hamid in July 2004. The party was founded in 1960 and evolved out of the Muslim Brotherhood movement. It was banned from 1961 until the invasion of Iraq in 2003. It is one of the three main components that form the Sunni Accordance Front (IAF), the third largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament with 44 out of a total 275 seats. SH
