Israeli Occupation Forces Kidnap 11 Palestinians, Injure an Egyptian Soldier, Continue Detention of Elected Officials Egyptian soldier wounded as Israeli naval occupation forces open fire on Rafah Date: 05 / 11 / 2007 Time: 10:06 [Ma'anImages] Gaza – Ma'an – An Egyptian soldier was wounded when Israeli naval occupation vessels opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats on the shore at Rafah, at the southern end of the Gaza Strip on Monday morning. Naval forces affiliated with the Gaza Strip's de facto government returned fire. The Israeli forces overpowered the Palestinians, and seized four Palestinian fishermen. Mu'awiya Hassanain, the director of ambulance and emergency services in the Palestinian Health Ministry said Palestinian medics treated an Egyptian soldier stationed at the Palestinian-Egyptian border. The soldier was wounded in the arm by shrapnel from the Israeli bombardment. The Israeli occupation vessels also fired at the Swedish Village area on Rafah's coast. Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli occupation troops invaded the Tulkarem refugee camp, kidnapping one Palestinian. The man was later identified as Mohammad Al-Badu, 24, an officer in the Palestinian police. Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation army kidnapped three Palestinian civilians, including a fifteen-year-old girl, from the southern West Bank city of Hebron on Monday. The teen was abducted after Israeli occupation soldiers claimed she intended to attack them with a concealed knife. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the girl had a knife, but added that she did not attack anyone with it. In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces invaded the village of Yatta, south of Hebron, searched homes and kidnapped two civilians, a man and his son.
