Palestinian government in Gaza dismisses its UN representative, Riyadh Mansour, for misuse of power De facto government dismiss Palestinian UN representative Date: 13 / 11 / 2007 Time: 18:18 Gaza – Ma'an – The Hamas-run de facto government in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday dismissed the Palestinian representative to the United Nations, Riyadh Mansour, accusing him of pushing for a UN resolution condemning Hamas and other resistance movements as outlawed militias, Tahir Al-Nunu, the spokesperson of the de facto government said. At a press conference Al- Nunu said that his government has discussed Mansour's numerous "misuses of power" which constituted "insults against the Palestinian people" and that was the reason they decided to dismiss him.
