Hamas reveals documents proving corruption and high treason of PA security apparatuses

Hamas reveals documents proving corruption, high treason of PA security

[ 23/06/2007 - 07:58 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

Hamas Movement has revealed parts of the serious intelligence information it had seized after it controlled headquarters of the PA security apparatuses in Gaza Strip, proving that those security apparatuses had jeopardized national security of Palestine, and the Arab and Muslim worlds.

Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, the Hamas prominent political leader and PLC member, held a press conference in Gaza city Friday in this regard, saying that the serious revelation came in the aftermath of PA chief Mahmoud Abbas’s closure of the dialogue door with Hamas.

According to Hayya, Hamas’s “treasure of intelligence information” proves that heads of the security apparatuses, especially the PA intelligence and the PA preventive security apparatuses, were deeply involved in conspiring with Israel against Palestine, and the Arab and Muslim worlds.

He explained that the said departments furnished the Israeli intelligence with sensitive information on a number of Arab and Muslim countries' military capabilities as well as prominent figures and clerics in the Arab and Muslim world.

“Had it not due to the strategic and international sensitivity of revealing those information now, we would have revealed them immediately”, Hayya said about those serious information.

Hayya said those departments were even able to trap a number of PA high-ranking officials in sexual scandals and threatened to expose those scandals if those officials failed to blindly follow their orders.

He also accused those security heads of leaking serious and detailed information about Hamas’s political and military leaders, the Movement’s military capabilities, and military tactics; and helped the Israeli intelligence in targeting and killing a number of those leaders.

He cited the IOF attack on his house a month ago that aimed at killing him. Hayya survived but the raid killed eight of his family members.

Moreover, Hayya affirmed that the information they possess now proves beyond reasonable doubt that those departments had spied on the late PA chief Yasser Arafat and his successor Abbas, and a number of PA officials with the aim to trap them in ethical wrongdoings so as to blackmail them anytime they wish.

“When they (Israelis) said that Hamas had seized a treasure of intelligence information, they were saying the truth as we have now tons of documents confirming the charges we have revealed”, Hayya underlined.

He also unmasked that elements of the PA presidential guards were involved in the assassination attempt against PA premier Ismail Haniyeh at Rafah terminal, asserting that Hamas has the confession of a high-ranking officer in that force proving the conspiracy against Haniyeh.

Furthermore, Hayya shrugged off resolutions taken by the PLO Central Council, saying that the Council had lost its legitimacy and credibility a long time ago after it had agreed to cancel the PLO Charter (in 1996).

And thus, he added, the Council has no legal basis for dissolving or replacing a duly elected council as the PLC (Palestinian Parliament), which was elected by the Palestinian people in an honest and democratic way.

Finally, Hayya affirmed that Hamas wasn’t attempting to establish an Islamic Emirate in Gaza Strip as others would like to portray with the aim to instigate the world against Hamas; but, he said, the Movement wants to have a clean, free, and healthy, Palestinian community in order to pursue the Palestinian national quest of liberation.
