KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)--

A 12-year-old Palestinian child was wounded Wednesday evening in Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) tank shelling of Al-Qarara town northeast of Khan Younis, medical sources reported.

They said that Ahmed Muhanna, 12, was hit with shrapnel, due to the explosion of a tank shell near him, in his head and abdomen and his condition was "moderate".

IOF soldiers kidnapped a big number of Palestinian civilians in Al-Qarara after breaking into their homes and after ordering all males in the age category of 15 to 40 years to get out of their homes and gather at a main square for interrogation.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian prisoner's club in Al-Khalil said that Palestinians in occupation detention centers are subjected to "cruel torture rounds" during interrogation to force them confess to charges leveled against them.

It cited the incident of detainee Yousuf Daghamin, from a village in Al-Khalil district, who was kidnapped two weeks ago and severely beaten at the hands of his jailors.

The IOF spokesman told the Hebrew radio that 13 Palestinians were rounded up at dawn Thursday in the West Bank, eight of whom were charged with membership of the Hamas Movement.

In Nablus, Palestinian resistance fighters detonated a number of explosives devices in a special IOF unit that encircled a suburb in the city Wednesday night where those fighters were located.

IOF units stormed other suburbs and wreaked havoc in civilian homes at the pretext of searching for wanted activists.
