4 Palestinian Killed by Israeli Occupation Forces in Al-Qarara, Gaza Strip, Bulldozers Flatten Fields and School Playground Israeli forces invade southern Gaza Strip, killing 4, bulldozers flatten fields and school playground Date: 21 / 06 / 2007 Time: 10:29 Gaza - Ma'an - Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning leaving behind 4 Palestinian deaths and several injuries. The Israeli occupation forces invaded the area of Al-Qarara village on Wednesday at 1:00 am. Various Palestinian factions' military wings clashed with the invading Israeli forces, and as a result 4 Palestinian activists were killed, 2 of them affiliated to Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades, a third affiliated to the Al-Nasser Salahuddin Brigades, who belong to the Popular Resistance Committees, and the fourth was an operative within the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad. Four others were injured. Eyewitnesses stated that the Israeli bulldozers flattened 123 dunums of vegetables (1 dunum=1,000 m²), in addition to storming the Al-Ma'arri school in Al-Qarara village and destroying the playground of the school. The bulldozers also forced openings in the walls of the classrooms in order to target any activists inside. In a separate development, on Thursday morning, the Israeli forces penetrated 500 meters into the Al-Ja'al area, east of Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported. IOF troops advance into Gaza after withdrawing from Khan Younis [ 21/06/2007 - 11:54 AM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- The IOF troops at an early hour Thursday invaded east of Gaza city, shortly after withdrawing from Al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis city leaving behind four fatalities, 10 injuries, and extensive destruction of infrastructure, eyewitnesses reported. The Israeli armored vehicles and tanks, reinforced by jet fighters, advanced to Al-Shuja'iyeh neighborhood, east of Gaza, where they stationed there and installed sandbags in the area near Ja'el gas station. To repel any further advance by the IOF troops, the Palestinian resistance fighters set up defensive positions in the area. Palestinian resistance fighters hit back at invading IOF troops in Gaza [ 21/06/2007 - 09:47 AM ] GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian resistance fighters from the Qassam Brigades (QB), the armed wing of Hamas, have succeeded Wednesday in detonating a planted roadside bomb in an IOF tank, setting it on fire, east of Khan Younis south of the Gaza Strip. According to eyewitnesses in the area, four Israeli occupation tanks advanced into the area in a bid to evacuate the IOF causalities and to drag the damaged tank amidst intensive hovering from Israeli occupation helicopters. In a military communiqué it issued in this regard, the QB warned the IOF that any military adventure into the Strip will be painfully retaliated to, and it will have its toll on lives of the invading troops. Fierce clashes had taken place in the southern Gaza Strip district of Khan Younis at dawn Wednesday after QB fighters spotted an IOF commando unit attempting to infiltrate into the city, and immediately attacked them. Four Palestinian fighters were reportedly martyred in the clashes after they inflicted a number of casualties among the Israeli occupation soldiers. Three Israeli settlers were also wounded and eight others suffered shock after four Palestinian homemade missiles slammed into the Israeli settlement of Sderot Wednesday night. IOF sources acknowledged the attack and the casualties among the settlers. The Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, took the credit for the attack and vowed not to relax retaliation to the IOF crimes against the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance fighters. Two more homemade Palestinian rockets were fired at the Israeli Sofa crossing point, east of the Strip. The Ayman Jouda groups, an offshoot of the AMB of Fateh, and the armed wing of the DFLP claimed responsibility for the attack.
