Date: 15 / 06 / 2007 Time: 17:21

Gaza – Ma'an –

A Palestinian preventive security captain, Salama Barbakh, was killed in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, at the hands of Hamas gunmen on Friday afternoon.

Barbakh's bullet-ridden corpse was delivered to Nasser Hospital, in Khan Younis. Hamas believed that Barbakh was responsible for killing two Hamas activists, Wasfi Shahwan and 'Umar Sharab, in recent months.

Palestinian sources reported that an Al-Aqsa Brigades activist, Iyad 'Aashour, was killed on Friday morning in Gaza City by Hamas gunmen. He is allegedly wanted by Hamas for participation in the fierce clashes in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, last week.

In a separate incident, a Fateh activist opened fire at a pro-Hamas rally in Al-Bureij refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip, killing Ahmad Al-Sous, aged 25, and injuring two others.
