Qassam Brigades abort Israeli Occupation Forces infiltration attempt in Khan Younis

QB aborts IOF infiltration in Khan Younis

[ 09/07/2007 - 09:18 AM ]

KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)--

Fighters of the Qassam Brigades (QB), the armed wing of the Hamas Movement, Monday foiled an Israeli occupation forces (IOF) infiltration attempt east of Khuza'a town in Khan Younis district, south of the Gaza Strip.

QB sources said in press statements that its fighters monitored the infiltration of 30 IOF soldiers along with police dogs who took position behind one of the hothouses in the area at 0100 am.

An hour later the QB fighters engaged the invasion soldiers and fired four anti-armored Yassin projectiles at the attacking force after which the soldiers were seen heading back to the 1948 occupied lands in confusion while dragging one of them, apparently after being wounded in the clash.

The QB affirmed in a communiqué that it would strike the "enemy's soldiers and settlers on all usurped Palestinian lands".

In Nablus, IOF units at dawn Monday rounded up five Palestinians including two bothers in the city itself and in Balata refugee camp.
