Date: 09 / 07 / 2007 Time: 12:49

Hebron - Ma'an -

In addition to bloody incursions into Jenin and Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces also invaded towns and homes in the Hebron district of the southern West Bank.

In the town of Adh-Dhahiriya, the Israeli occupaiton forces besieged a family home and then blew open the door with explosives.

Local and security sources told our Hebron correspondent that an Israeli military force besieged the home of Atef Al-Wireidat and, through loudspeakers, demanded that all the inhabitants evacuate the building. Then the soldiers blew open the door and stormed the home. No arrests have been announced.

The sources added that Atef Al-Wireidat is a member of the Palestinian presidential guards, and he is currently detained in Israeli jail.

In the same regard, the same Israeli force ransacked the home of Adel Shnewir, in the Wadi Al-Ghamari neighbourhood of the town.

In the Jenin area, Israeli troops killed the leader of Islamic Jihad's armed wing in the town of Qabatiya, and arrested at least another five Palestinians, including a 10-year-old boy.

Another five Palestinians were arrested in Nablus during a violent Israeli military incursion into the city. Two Palestinians were reportedly injured.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed a suburb of the West Bank city of Tulkarem, and confiscated two cars.

According to our Tulkarem correspondent, the Israeli forces entered the Shwekah area of Tulkarem, located in the north west of the West Bank, at dawn on Monday and conducted an intensive search of the area, targeting mechanic workshops in particular.

Our correspondent added that the Israeli occupation soldiers used a special winch to lift cars, and confiscated two cars from the suburb.
