Palestinian-American Congress Calls For National Unity PAC, July 22, 2007
The Palestinian American Congress (PAC) representing Palestinian American citizens of diverse political and religious backgrounds stands united in its support and commitment to the Palestinian people achieving their fundamental human and national rights to equality and freedom from Israeli occupation, and for those Palestinians in forced exile to return to their homes and homeland. PAC condemns the use of violence or military means to achieve domestic political ends and expresses deep sorrow and regret over the deaths and injuries of any of our Palestinians brothers and sisters. PAC calls on all Palestinian leaders and individuals to stand united, to respect the law of the land and to refrain from acts of violence of any kind. PAC firmly rejects internal violence as a resolution to any of the problems that currently face the Palestinian people. We know that our enemies plant seeds of division and celebrate when achieving such divisions within the Palestinian national movement. PAC emphasizes the urgent need for all conflicting Palestinian Parties to set aside personal and political motives so as to uphold the national interest of the Palestinian people. PAC wishes the Palestinian people strength and wisdom as they struggle with unwavering courage and invincible spirit against the daily brutalities of the Israeli military occupation. PAC pledges its continued support for this honorable struggle and remains confident that the justice of the Palestinian cause will preserve its unity and ensure its eventual success.
