[ 20/07/2007 - 03:05 PM ]

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped on Thursday night seven Palestinians in the West Bank claiming they were wanted by the occupation authority.

The Israeli radio reported the arrest of five Palestinians from 'Ain Beit al-Ma' refugee camp near Nablus, one in Ramallah and a seventh in the Qalqilya district.

The IOF troops claimed discovering an explosive charge at the refugee camp near Nablus and that three home made grenades were hurled at the invading troops, but reported no casualties.

The invading troops imposed a curfew on the refugee camp and raided an ransacked a number of homes.

The radio also reported that during the Ramallah raid in which one Palestinian was arrested the IOF troops came twice under fire but no casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities have barred residents of the Palestinian village of Marda the north of the northern West Bank city of Salfit from reaching their fields behind the apartheid wall.

Sadeq al-Kheshen, head of the village council said that the occupation authority is not allowing farmers from reaching their olive and fig groves, adding that the apartheid wall has eaten up much of the land to the south of the village and seems to be posed to confiscate even more land.

The village of Marda is being strangled by the apartheid wall and is being turned into an open concentration camp with only one exit to the north of the village where the occupation authorities have installed an iron gate and cctv cameras.

Date: 20 / 07 / 2007 Time: 11:35

Nablus - Ma'an -

Israeli occupation forces invaded the West Bank city of Nablus early on Friday morning, injuring three Palestinians and kidnapping three more.

At the same time as Israel was making the final preparations for releasing 255 Palestinian prisoners – in a "goodwill gesture" to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas - dozens of Israeli occupation military vehicles entered Nablus and raided 'Ain Beit Al Ma' refugee camp.

The Israeli occupation army entered the camp, located in the north of Nablus city, soon after midnight and stormed more than ten houses, blowing up the walls of many houses in the process, our Nablus correspondent reported.

The Israeli occupation forces made three kidnappings in their lengthy military incursion: Mohammad Sharaf, Maher Abu Munir, and Munir Muhannad, all from Nablus city.

Palestinian medical sources also reported that three young Palestinian men arrived at Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, suffering from injuries that were described as ranging from slight to moderate.

The Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the area at 8.30 am but returned at 10.30 am, soon after the first Palestinian prisoners were released near Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation forces then left again soon after.
