Israeli Death Squads Execute a Palestinian Activist in Cold Blood, Kidnap 4 People in Hebron IOF troops execute Qassam member in cold blood [ 30/12/2007 - 05:19 PM ] RAFAH, (PIC)-- (A death squad of the) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday executed Adel Qishta, 24, a resident of Rafah district, south of the Gaza Strip, in cold blood shortly after arresting him near Karam Abu Salem crossing. Eyewitnesses said that an IOF armored unit advanced east of Rafah city and stormed Nahda suburb before arresting Qishta then executed him. Meanwhile, a group of Palestinians at dawn Sunday survived an IOF shelling that targeted them east of Shujaia suburb in Gaza city. Witnesses said that an IOF chopper fired at least one missile at the group but none of them was hurt. They added that IOF tanks positioned at the eastern borders of the Strip opened heavy machineguns at residential quarters in the area after the raid spreading panic among the inhabitants but no casualties were reported. At around 2:00 am on Monday Nabeel Salah, his wife and his two sons left their home and were walking towards the family bakery shop in the village, Israeli troops who were invading the village opened fire at them nearly killing them all. Salah said that he and his family started to shout at the soldiers and told them that they were civilians; troops continued to fire at them then detained them for three hours. Before letting the family go soldiers interrogated and searched all members of the family, Salah said. The Israeli army invaded the village of Kufer Dan on Monday at dawn and started to search residents homes, residents reported that the Israeli troops were very violent dealing with the civilians and deliberately destroyed some of their belongings. The invasion ended after several hours when troops left the village, no kidnappings were reported. The ransacking operation affected a countless number of civilian homes. The Prisoner's Society office reported that among those kidnapped in the operation, a man identified as Mohammad Ghayth was kidnapped at one of the Israeli checkpoints in the city of Hebron. The other three were kidnapped after invading and ransacking their homes in the Hebron towns of Halhoul, Yata and Al Tharhriya. The abductees were later identified as Malak Al Jundi, Nidal Al Jabareen and Jawad Abu Rayan and all were moved to an undisclosed detention centre.
