Russia sends aid to Gaza

Russia sent two airplanes to Jordan on Thursday loaded with dozens of tons of food and medicine destined for the people in the Gaza Strip.

Russian media sources said aid supplies include 10 tons of medicine and food, as well as 36 tons of sugar, baby food and seeds.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said they hoped that all the concerned parties would facilitate this operation.

In a statement the Ministry said that Moscow believes that the Palestinians must not be hostages to the current situation.
